I’m ‘slowly’ making my way through Haikyu (the best manga and anime of ever), but I’m also looking at what anime I want to watch next. So I looked through my Crunchyroll to watch list and thought it would be fun to share (part of) it with you all. Let’s jump in!
Gangsta
In a city filled with sin and scandal, Worick and Nicolas have made a name for themselves as men who can get the job done. As a super-powered Twilight Nic has no problem getting his hands dirty, but when the situation requires a little more charm Worick is ready to use his own unique skills to keep the situation under control.
I’ve read part of this manga and I loved it a lot. It’s still on my list of manga I want to continue reading at some point. But I think it would also be great to get a start on this anime. The story is super interesting and also pretty brutal from what I remember. It’s very different compared to what I’m currently watching haha, I can’t wait to dive in.
One Piece
Monkey. D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in the way of his quest to become the king of all pirates. With a course charted for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line and beyond, this is one captain who’ll never give up until he’s claimed the greatest treasure on Earth: the Legendary One Piece!
I haven’t read One Piece but I’ve heard great things about this one. There is also the live action version and I’ve heard really good things about that one as well. But I think I would like to watch this original anime version first. There are a LOT (and I mean A LOT) of episodes, season one has 61 episodes… I guess I’ll just start with one season and see where I’ll land haha.
The Ancient Magus’ Bride
Hatori Chise has lived a life full of neglect and abuse, devoid of anything resembling love. Far from the warmth of family, she has had her share of troubles and pitfalls. Just when all hope seems lost, a fateful encounter awaits her. When a man with the head of a beast, wielding strange powers, obtains her through a slave auction, Chise’s life will never be the same again. The man is a “magus,”a sorcerer of great power, who decides to free Chise from the bonds of captivity. The magus then makes a bold statement: Chise will become his apprentice–and his bride!
I’ve read the first two volumes of this manga and enjoyed it a lot. It’s another one I might want to continue at some point but it isn’t on the top of my manga wishlist. So I might just go ahead and start watching the anime to be honest. I really like the world and story so I’m excited to see it play out on my screen!
These are 3 anime on my Crunchyroll to watch list. Have you watched any of these? Did you like them? And do you have any other recommendations for me? I would love to hear from you in the comments!
