Bookish Item | The Executioners Three – Susan Dennard

We have a lot of eARC’s and we want to promote them a little bit more. So we decided to do some more Bookish Beginnings On Friday. Today I wanted to share the beginning of The Executioners Three by Susan Dennard. I have just started my eARC and since the book was released a little over 2 weeks ago I figured this was the perfect time to take a look at the beginning of the story! Let’s jump in! Review| The Brave and the Reckless – Dilan Dyer

I feel like I’ve been in my cowboy romance era lately, so I couldn’t resist reading The Brave and the Reckless. This is the first book I’ve read by Dilan Dyer and I was very intrigued. Today I want to tell you about this book and what I thought.

A big thank you to Netgalley and Dell for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This doesn’t affect my opinion in any way!

Author Corner| Interview with Julie Berry

Julie Berry is an author who has written a few books that are on my TBR (it’s a never-ending list, haha), and her newest book If Looks Could Kill really caught my eye. Jack the Ripper against Medusa? I can say that’s a combination I’ve never seen.

Today I have an interview with Julie Berry about this book and I’ll tell you what it’s all about. A big thank you to Julie for taking time to answer my questions.

WWW Wednesday #94

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

TTT #401 | Villains

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Villains. I love reading about villains, at least when they are well developed. A villain with a good backstory and interesting motivations can make the story so much better. And sometimes you just want to root for a villain ;). Sometimes it’s also debatable who you should call a villain. So let’s take a look at some of my favorite villains! Looking Back at Our Bookhauls| August 2024

We’re back again with the scariest post of the month, haha. Looking Back at Our Bookhauls posts are to try and keep us reading the new books we add to our shelves. So how did we do with our August 2024 bookhaul? Let’s take a look!

Down the TBR Hole #156

We’re starting this Down the TBR Hole post at the same place we ended two weeks ago! I didn’t take anything off of my want to read shelf, but nothing has been added either!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Mini Reviews | Automatic Noodle – Annalee Newitz & Finlay Donovan Is Killing It – Elle Cosimano

I’m back to work and right away my reading has slowed down immensely. Especially this first week of teaching was extremely tiring, so I haven’t finished any new books. But luckily I did finish a couple of books this summer and I have these two to still talk about. So let’s just dive in! Bookish Item| Fairyloot Books I Want to Read Before the End of 2025

We only have a few months left in 2025 and I’m trying to use this time to read the books on my shelves that have been staring at me to be read. I have a Fairyloot subscription. At first I had the YA and romantasy books, but since May I have the triple box that now also includes the adult book every month. These books are stunning and so far I’ve wanted to read them all. So today I want to talk about my Fairyloot books I want to read before the end of 2025! Let’s take a look.
