Down the TBR Hole #162

After having some blog issues, I’m finally back with the last Down the TBR Hole post of 2025. We didn’t add or remove any books from my want to read shelf since my last post.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 or 15 or 20, if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?
  • Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week!

Current “to-read” shelf: 471 (my last post ended at 471. So that’s the same as at the end of the last post.)

Fire with Fire – Destiny Soria

This week we have quite a few books I still have on my shelves and a few that still sound interesting, but I’m just not sure I’ll ever get around to reading. It is still fun seeing what I’ve added to my want to read shelf over the years.

Removal Percentage: 60%
Current “to-read” shelf: 465

So I started 2025 with 598 books on my Goodreads want to read shelf. So I was able to clear over 100 books off of this shelf. I’m really getting this to be something filled with books I still want/need to read. Let’s see how far we can get in 2026. Have you read any of these? Which one should I read first? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
