As you might’ve seen in my reading goals for 2026 post, I want to try another reading platform instead of Goodreads. I was planning on using Fable, but after talking to some reader friends I want to try a couple before deciding! Today I’ll share which reading platforms I plan on trying.

Fable
I found this through a podcast I’m listening to and I was planning on just making this my new reading platform. Mostly because of the bookclubs. I also love that they have a Goodreads import function. And apparently they also have an option to log the shows and films you watch and I personally love that.

The StoryGraph
Apparently I already made an account on The StoryGraph years ago haha. I have to look through that account to see what I already uploaded and which books I’m missing. It might take a while to sort it all out. I do love that quite some reader friends use this app. It seems like there are a lot of great features and I’m excited to dive back into this app.

Pagebound
Candyce pointed me towards this platform and I’m excited to dive in. I heard this described as Reddit meets Goodreads and that sounds awesome! This is a pretty new platform, so I’m expecting it to develop further. There is no AI and according to the developers there won’t ever be, that’s a plus for me personally.

Bookmory
This one might be more of a companion app. I’m excited to use the reading timer and the notes section. Hopefully this app will help me read more and take notes while reading, so I won’t forget important details.

Hardcover
I think this might be the least known platform on this list. And I don’t know that much about it yet either haha. But something drew me towards this one and I am excited to try it out!
These are the 5 reading platforms I plan on trying in 2026 so I can hopefully find the perfect fit for me! Have you used any of these reading platforms? Do you have a favorite? Which one are you excited about to hear and see more from? Let me know down below!

I love Storygraph, the stats are really good!
I’ve really enjoyed using StoryGraph – there are so many great ways to track reading progress (by page or percentage, backdating, pausing a book you’re currently reading, and more) and organize your books.

I’m pretty evenly split between goodreads and Storygraph – some things I still just need from goodreads, but Storygraph is really good for stats and reading challenges!
