Review| The Falling in Love Montage – Ciara Smyth

Besides being a big fan of contemporary books, I love watching romantic comedies. What can I say, I love the grand gestures and the happily ever afters! The Falling in Love Montage seemed like a book I just needed to read for that reason. I’m really happy I picked this one up and want to talk about this book today. Keep on reading for my thoughts on The Falling in Love Montage!

Tag| The Out of My Comfort Zone Book Tag

It’s been awhile since I’ve found a tag that looked like a lot of fun. I recently saw a tag that was posted on Twitter as a blog of the day. I saw The Out of My Comfort Zone Tag on Shaz Reads’ blog. I try reading outside of my comfort zone, but it can be hard. Let’s take a look at this tag!

Can’t Wait Wednesday| A Deadly Education – Naomi Novik

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Blog Tour| Mayhem – Estelle Laure (Review & Interview)

I love when you hear about a book and you know you just need to get your hands on it! This was me when I heard about Mayhem by Estelle Laure. Mayhem releases next week (July 14th), but today I’m participating in the blog tour. If you keep on reading, I’ll tell you what I thought about this book and you can read a short interview with Estelle Laure.

A big thanks to the author and Wednesday Books for providing me with an ARC on Netgalley to read and review.

TTT #140 | Authors I’ve Read the Most Books By

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Authors I’ve Read the Most Books By. I think I did a post about this quite a while ago because at one point you were able to see this on your Goodreads account. Unfortunately that is no longer an option so let’s see if I can get an accurate number for the list ;). Let’s dive in! Continue reading “TTT #140 | Authors I’ve Read the Most Books By”

Looking Back At Our Bookhauls | June 2019

As booklovers we both love buying books. That got us thinking… do we actually read the books we buy? That’s how this Looking Back at Our Bookhauls idea got started. It can be quite interesting to see what we’ve actually read and can make you run to your shelves to pick up the books you forgot about. Today let’s look back at our haul from June 2019! How did we do?

Down the TBR Hole #34

Seeing how I keep adding new books to my Goodreads TBR, I decided to did this just a little more often than I have before. It’s only been a week, but there have been so many new cover reveals, that I’ve added more books to my want to read shelf.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started! Continue reading “Down the TBR Hole #34”

Review | You Should See Me In a Crown – Leah Johnson

As I mentioned before, I’m committed to reading more books by Black authors. And one I was pretty excited for was You Should See Me In a Crown.
