Review| Warrior Princess Assassin – Brigid Kemmerer

I’ve read a few books by Brigid Kemmerer that I’ve really enjoyed, so when I saw Warrior Princess Assassin, I knew I needed to read it. This is her adult fantasy romance debut and it was quite the ride! Today I want to tell you all about the book and what I thought.

A big thank you to Netgalley and Avon for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This doesn’t affect my opinion in any way!

Down the TBR Hole #152

Since my last Down the TBR Hole, I managed to read one of the books that happened to be on my want to read shelf. It’s progress and I’ll take it!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Review| Christmas Is All Around – Martha Waters

Temperatures have been pretty hot here, and I’m honestly already done with it, haha. I prefer cozier weather to this. So I decided to do a little Christmas in July. Today I want to talk about Christmas Is All Around and tell you what I thought. Let’s take a look.

A big thank you to Netgalley and Atria Books for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This doesn’t affect my opinion in any way.

WWW Wednesday #89

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Bookish Item| June TBR

May is just about over and in two days it’ll be June. That means it’s time to take a look at some of the books I’m hoping to read this month. As you know, I’m terrible at sticking to a TBR, but I still love making them. At the moment, these are the books that are catching my eye. Let’s take a look at my June TBR.

5 On My TBR | Hyped Books You Skipped on in the Past

As we’ve mentioned before, one of our most important reading goals of is shrinking our physical TBR’s. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books we still have or what subjects to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is Hyped Books You Skipped on in the Past and I think that’s a great topic as I’ve just read Fourth Wing, one of the most hyped books of the past year. I’m not sure how many hyped books I have on my TBR, but we’ll see. Let’s dive in! Continue reading “5 On My TBR | Hyped Books You Skipped on in the Past”

Down the TBR Hole #124

This week’s Down the TBR Hole is starting off with two books less than it ended with last time. I actually read two books on my want to read shelf. Yay me!

Review| Faebound – Saara El-Arifi

At the beginning of the year I said that I wanted to read more fantasy again and I’m doing good with that goal. Faebound was one of the 2024 fantasy releases I was really excited about and I finally finished reading it (I get way too distracted by books, haha). So keep on reading to find out more about the book and my thoughts!

A big thank you to Netgalley and Harper Voyager for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This does not affect my opinion in any way.

TTT #334 | TV Shows That Would Have Made Amazing Books

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Movies/TV Shows That Would Have Made Amazing Books. I watch a lot of tv shows, but I have to say I usually hope books get turned into tv shows (or movies). So thinking about this the other way around is a bit weird. Interesting for sure, but also a bit weird haha. Let’s take a look and see which tv shows I picked! Review| Do Your Worst – Rosie Danan

I’ve only read The Roommate by Rosie Danan and I definitely enjoyed myself. When I read about Do Your Worst, I was really excited. I loved the idea of an archeologist and curse breaker being forced to work together. I’ve finally read this one and want to talk about what I thought! So keep on reading to find out more.

A big thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This did not influence my opinion of this book.
