It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
Woven by Gold – Elizabeth Helen
After loving Bonded by Thorns, I needed to continue this series. I devoured Woven by Gold. This book is almost 600 pages, but doesn’t feel like it at all! Rosalina finds her way back to the fae realm to be with her princes. Woven by Gold is filled with romance, family, politics, and action. I couldn’t put this down!
Drunk on Love – Jasmine Guillory
I received Drunk on Love a couple of years ago for Christmas and this was one of my random TBR picks for June. A one night stand ends up leading to them working for the same company. I’m normally a big fan romances like this, but Drunk on Love didn’t work for me. Their inner monologues felt so repetitive and there was so much that could’ve been prevented if our two characters just talked to each other. I’m sad this didn’t work for me.
What are you currently reading?
The Bones Beneath My Skin – TJ Klune
TJ Klune is an author who knows how to hit you in all the feels. The House in the Cerulean Sea is still one of my favorites books, so I decided to read another book by him. At the moment I’m about 30% into The Bones Beneath My Skin and it’s interesting. This book feels different than his other stories and there’s more to these characters than I think. I can’t wait to find out what’s going on.
Vows & Ruins – Helen Sheurer
I actually started Vows & Ruins a little while ago, but got distracted. That being said, I’m loving this story. I think I have about 2,5 hours to go. Althea and Wilder shouldn’t be together, but there chemistry is there. I’m excited to see where this story takes us.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Swept Away – Beth O’Leary
Beth O’Leary is an author I’ve been wanting to try for some time and Swept Away sounds like a fun place to start. Our main characters have a one night stand and then realize they’re lost at sea. I’ve heard some mixed reviews about this one, but I still want to give it a try.
Forged by Malice – Elizabeth Helen
I’m not normally someone who binges series, but after loving the first two books in the Beasts of Briars series, I need to continue. This year I am trying to get better at reading series, so this is a perfect place to start.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! What have you been reading lately? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
Interesting looking books. I loved House in the Cerulean Sea too and need to read the next one. Another book that I really enjoyed by him was In The Lives of Puppets.
Have a great week!
