TTT #392 | Books on My Summer 2025 to-Read List

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books on My Summer 2025 to-Read List. As you might already know, I don’t really make TBR’s for myself. However I do always have a ton of books I would love to read in the coming months, so I’ll make a list out of those. Let’s jump in!

1. Apprentice to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Maehrer

I read the first book in this series last summer and I loved it. It was laugh out loud funny and it made for a great summer read. I did start this one already but that was months ago and I would love to dive back in this summer.

2. Legends & Lattes – Travis Baldree

I bought this one a while ago and I want to read it badly after hearing nothing but positive things. As this is supposed to be pretty cosy I hope it’s a great book to relax with. I’m pretty stressed, but I will have my summer break in about 5 weeks time. And I will be relaxing from day 1!

3. Bloodwitch – Susan Dennard

I have been wanting to read this one for literal years. With book 5 coming out this year, I hope I finally will pick this one back up. I really liked the first two books and I have high hopes for this one!

4. The Future of Another Timeline – Annalee Newitz

After reading about Annalee Newitz’s newest release, I decided it was the perfect time to finally read this one. I love a good time travel book and I’m excited to see how time travel is done in this story.

5. The City of Brass – S.A. Chakraborty

I really liked The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi and have been wanting to read this series for years now. When I have a couple of weeks to relax, I think it will be really nice to dive into a series of big books and this one would be a great start.

6. Our Infinite Fates – Laura Steven

This was one of my most anticipated releases of the year and I hope to read it this summer. I like Laura Steven a lot and I’m really excited about this release. One of my current reads is her next book; Silvercloak and I hope one of my next reads will be this one.

7. Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil – V.E. Schwab

V.E. Schwab is one of my favorite authors and of course I want to read her newest release as soon as possible. This is a book about toxic lesbian vampires and I’m so so so excited to dive in. I just know it will be a great read for me.

8. We Are All Guilty Here – Karin Slaughter

Another one of my favorite authors! I love Karin Slaughter’s thrillers and I’m really curious about the start of this new series. The Grant County and Will Trent series is/are amazing and I hope this one will have a great lead character as well.

9. Not Quite Dead Yet – Holly Jackson

I really liked the Holly Jackson books I’ve read so far and I’m really curious what she does with an adult thriller. This is about someone trying to solve their own murder and I can’t wait to find out what that entails.

10. Nobody in Particular – Sophie Gonzales

Sophie Gonzales is probably my favorite YA contemporary author and I love the sound of her newest book. I’m ashamed to admit, I still have to read her last release, but I guess that just means I have 2 of her books waiting on me now!

These are 10 books I hope to read this summer! Have you read any of these? Do you think these will make for good summer reads? I would love to hear from you down below!

  1. I’m going to jump on the bandwagon here – Legends & Lattes was super cute. It’s prequel, Bookshops & Bonedust, is a lot of fun, too. I hope you love it.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
