In Julia Wolf’s book Pixie Cut, we meet Avi’s cousin Yo. He seemed like a lot of fun, so it was quite a pleasant surprise to see him get the spotlight as one of the main characters in Eight Cozy Nights. In the book world we get a lot of Christmas stories, but not Hannukah stories. After reading this novella, I’d say we need more!

Review| Fireworks – Sarina Bowen
In May I read and reviewed Speakeasy and really enjoyed the story. Today is the release day of Fireworks, the next book in this author’s True North series. These books can be read as standalones, but do all involve a certain family.
I do want to start by thanking the author for providing an ARC of Fireworks to read and review. Before starting my review I would also like to say this book does have characters who have been sexual assualted and we read things that happen twelve years before. It’s not graphic, but just a heads up for other readers.

Review| Beneath His Stars – Amie Knight
I posted about the release of Beneath His Stars not too long ago an today I want to tell you what I thought of this book. This isn’t my first Amie Knight book and I was really looking forward to it. Beneath His Stars is different in some ways. The characters in this one are a bit younger, but it’s mostly to get us prepared for the second book in this duology.
Review | Contagion – Erin Bowman
October is a month for spooky, supernatural or creepy books. As you know Candyce and I both participated in a Spook-a-thon, and for one of the challenges I read Contagion by Erin Bowman. I was already interested in this story when reading the synopsis a while ago, but when a friend told us how amazing the audiobook was I knew I had to pick it up. Review| Erik – Sawyer Bennett
If you saw my review that was posted earlier today, you would be able to tell I am a fan of sports romances. Today is the release day for another sports romance, Erik by Sawyer Bennett. Hockey seems to be the sport I read a lot about in sports romances, so when I got the chance to get an ARC, I couldn’t resist. I am definitely grateful for this chance. At the beginning of this week, this author surprised her readers with Hope to Fall, the next book in the Kinney Brothers series. I was lucky enough to get an ARC and knew everyone would be in for a great surprise. I even read this book in one sitting!

Review| Pixie Cut – Julia Wolf
If you’ve been following the blog for awhile, you know I have loved the books in the Sublime series by this author. I have read and reviewed: Cut Short (which I read before the blog), Cut Loose and Cut Free. Last month the final book in the series, Pixie Cut, was released. I keep saying that every book is my favorite and I have to say that about this one as well.

So we said yesterday’s review of Empire of Storms was going to be the last review of the week, but we kind of forgot we already reviewed Tower of Dawn last year when it was released, haha. Today is the last day of our Throne of Glass week, so we decided to end it with a repost of this buddy review.

Today we are ending our week of Throne of Glass reviews with Empire of Storms. Tower of done didn’t fit into our schedule this year, but we will eventually reread. So after today our next review will be of Kingdom of Ash later this month.
