Buddyreview | Lady Midnight – Cassandra Clare

We have been talking about buddy reading Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows this year before the release of the last book in this trilogy. Our buddyread just happened to start a bit sooner when our friend Melissa from Melissa’s Fandomworld suggested we all read them together! This is a good thing, because we probably wouldn’t have started reading them so soon!

So today we want to share our review of Lady Midnight. With the release of Queen of Air and Darkness, this week is going to be The Dark Artifices week on the blog! Let’s start with this review!

Review | Bruja Born – Zoraida Córdova

A while ago I shared my review of Labyrinth Lost and today is finally the day to talk about Bruja Born. It has been a while since I read Bruja Born, but I somehow never shared my review. I received Bruja Born through NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion. After listening to the audiobook for Labyrinth Lost, I decided to listen to Bruja Born as well. There will be some mild spoilers for Labyrinth Lost, so keep that in mind. Now let’s talk about this book! Continue reading “Review | Bruja Born – Zoraida Córdova”

Review| In Her Space – Amie Knight

At the beginning of the month, I read and reviewed Beneath His Stars. In Her Space, the second book in the Stars Duet is also available now! Thanks to the author I also got to read and review the conclusion to this duology. Keep reading to find out what I thought!

Review| Chasing Ivy – S.J. Sylvis

Earlier this year I read two other books by this new author: Three Summers and Yours Truly, Cammie. I enjoyed both of these books and was excited when she announced the first book in her new Oak Hill series, Chasing Ivy.

Thanks to the author I received an ARC to read and review. Today I want to share my thoughts on Chasing Ivy.

Review| All We Want – J. Daniels

J. Daniels surprised all of her Alabama Summer fans with the novella, All We Want. I actually read this series before starting the blog, so I haven’t reviewed any of them on here. Who knows, maybe I will do a reread soon to change that.

All We Want takes us back to Tessa and Luke. Keep on reading to see what I thought!

Release Day Blitz & Review| Exes & Ho Ho Hos

Before we know it, December will be here and Christmas is right around the corner. I’m already in the mood for Christmas romances. Add some Hallmark and Netflix Christmas movies and I’m one happy person. Today is the release day of Exes & Ho Ho Hos and it’s the perfect start of preparing for the holidays!

On top of the release day blitz and a little excerpt, I have a review for you as well. Thanks to the author and Inkslinger PR I had the chance to read and review!

Review | Little White Lies – Jennifer Lynn Barnes

The moment I learned a new Jennifer Lynn Barnes book was being published this year, I knew I had to read it right away! I absolutely love Jennifer’s books and the synopsis for this one sounded wonderful. My audiobook subscription service had this one available the day it released, so I started listening to Little White Lies immediately. And today I’ll tell you all about it! Continue reading “Review | Little White Lies – Jennifer Lynn Barnes”

Review| Alienation – S.E. Anderson

Thanks to the author I had the chance to read and review Alienation. Not too long ago, I read and reviewed Starstruck and was really curious to see how Sally’s story would continue! What did I think of Alienation? Keep reading to find out!

Review| Eight Cozy Nights – Julia Wolf

In Julia Wolf’s book Pixie Cut, we meet Avi’s cousin Yo. He seemed like a lot of fun, so it was quite a pleasant surprise to see him get the spotlight as one of the main characters in Eight Cozy Nights. In the book world we get a lot of Christmas stories, but not Hannukah stories. After reading this novella, I’d say we need more!

Review| Fireworks – Sarina Bowen

In May I read and reviewed Speakeasy and really enjoyed the story. Today is the release day of Fireworks, the next book in this author’s True North series. These books can be read as standalones, but do all involve a certain family.

I do want to start by thanking the author for providing an ARC of Fireworks to read and review. Before starting my review I would also like to say this book does have characters who have been sexual assualted and we read things that happen twelve years before. It’s not graphic, but just a heads up for other readers.
