Down the TBR Hole #77

So I know that these past two weeks haven’t gone great with my want to read shelf, haha. I’m definitely going to need to stick to these Down the TBR Hole posts for quite some time.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Review | House of Earth and Blood – Sarah J. Maas

Recently I finally finished reading House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas and I figured it was time for a review. It’s been a while since I reviewed a Sarah J. Maas book to be honest!  Let’s jump in and see what I thought of this one.

Bookish Beginnings on Friday| The Wolf Den – Elodie Harper

The Wolf Den is a book I’ve been seeing every since last year. It released in the UK last year and this year in the US. I recently received a copy of it and I have to say I’m curious. I’ve been wanting to read more historical fiction and Greek mythology is something I’m interested in. So a perfect book to use in a Bookish Beginnings on Friday post.

This meme was created by Rose City Reader. The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that.

Bookish Item| June TBR

How are there only 11 days left in May?!? I feel like I blinked and this month is over. I haven’t read as much as I planned, but I’m hoping to fix that during the rest of the month. Okay, so even though I rarely stick to my TBRs (except for group/buddyreads) I still really enjoy making TBRs. These are really books I want to read soon. So let’s take a look at my June TBR.

Review| Dead Girls Never Talk – SJ Sylvis

SJ Sylvis is an author who has written quite a few books I’ve enjoyed and today her newest book, Dead Girls Never Talk, releases. This book takes us back into the St. Mary’s boarding school with a dark romance. It is advised to read Good Girls Never Rise and Bad Boys Never Fall to get the complete story, but it can be read as a standalone. Also, this book is pretty dark, so definitely look up triggers if needed.

Keep on reading to find out more about this book and my thoughts. A big thanks to the author for providing me with an e-arc to read and review.

Tag | Splendid Spring Book Tag

Just one more month of spring to go (although we’ve been hit with some summer temperatures here haha) and I haven’t done any spring tags yet. So today I wanted to do one! And I found the Splendid Spring Book Tag over at Paperbacks and Planners, the tag was created by Victoria Mann on Booktube. It has 10 questions, so let’s jump in! Can’t Wait Wednesday | Nothing More to Tell – Karen McManus

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | Nothing More to Tell – Karen McManus”

TTT #237| Book I Was So Excited to Get, but Still Haven’t Read

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is books I was so excited to get, but still haven’t read. Oh, I definitely have more than ten of these, haha. Here are ten that come to mind now. Keep on reading to find out more!

5 On My TBR | Contemporary

Tracking your TBR is pretty important when it’s quite large, haha. Besides Down the TBR Hole and my Netgalley Backlist we needed something to track my physical TBR. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is Identity but I’m not feeling that one. So I’m going with the prompt for next week; contemporary. I have more than enough for that one haha. So let’s see which 5 I picked out. Continue reading “5 On My TBR | Contemporary”
