Thanks to the release of season 2 of Shadow and Bone I’m completely engulfed in the Grishaverse again haha. I reread Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom and I’m currently rereading King of Scars. The whole Grishaverse consists of amazing books and I thought I would make it hard on myself again and rank the Grishaverse books. I’m not including the novella’s or Language of Thorns and Live of Saints. Some I have read, others I haven’t and it just doesn’t feel like a fair comparison. So I’m sticking to the 7 main books. Let’s jump in! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Ranking the Grishaverse Books”

Tag| Try a Chapter: Netgalley Edition Part 4
Isabelle has done the try a chapter book tag a few times and recently decided to do this with older Netgalley galleys. We started the blog almost 6 years ago and Netgalley was a big rabbit hole when we discovered it.
After a few years, I’m not sure some of these books will be for me anymore, so let’s do a try a chapter tag to see if the first chapters makes me want to read more. I’m trying to increase my ratio and also give books a chance, so this seemed the best way to do it. Let’s take a look at the three books I chose for this week!

WWW Wednesday #34
It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?

TTT #282 | Books for People Who Liked Leigh Bardugo
We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books for People Who Liked Author X and I decided to go with Leigh Bardugo! After watching Shadow and Bone and rereading the Six of Crows duology I am once again amazed by the universe and the characters Leigh created so of course I want more books like it. If you are like me, I have 10 books you might like, so let’s jump in! Continue reading “TTT #282 | Books for People Who Liked Leigh Bardugo”
5 On My TBR| Over 500 Pages
As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is over 500 pages. I’m glad with this topic, because one of my goals is to also read bigger books this year. I’ve been loving bigger books lately and here are five I hope to tackle soon!

Down the TBR Hole #98
So I’m setting up this post pretty quickly after my previous post, so I haven’t made any progress. I haven’t added any new books to my want to read shelf, so I’m taking that as a win.
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
