We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

I had some busy weeks at work! We had some more parent-teacher meetings, I visited another school to see how they work and there was a big uproar on social media about the lessons all schools have to do in the first week of spring so I had to calm down some parents as well. I did finish that week with a volleyball tournament with my colleagues though, so that was fun!

Two weeks ago Candyce and I went to an event at our favorite bookstore, I won tickets for a Shadow & Bone night! We got to do a pub quiz, there was private shopping and we watched the first episode of the second season, so much fun. Last week I went to a party and to a babyshower for a friend. Unfortunately the high tea we had for her babyshower was the worst I ever had haha. This past week I also had a fun afternoon with my colleagues, we had an escape tour which was fun although it was raining all day and had dinner afterwards (not that great unfortunately haha). After all of that I needed a simple weekend, just staying home, working on my lego, watching Netflix and go to my horses. Ready to take on the coming week!

I got some exciting eARC’s! Last week I talked about one of them in my Can’t Wait Wednesday post; Witch King by Martha Wells. The other ones are Imogen, Obviously by Becky Albertalli, Immortal Longings by Chloe Gong and Speak of the Devil by Rose Wilding.

Since my last update I have finished The Court of Undying Seasons, Haikyu! 3 and my reread of Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom. A bit different than I was planning but still, I’m very happy with what I’ve read haha. I’m currently reading Yellowface, started a reread of King of Scars and I’m also still reading the Adventures of Amina al-Sarifi (it will be a buddy read with Candyce!). After these I’ll also reread Rule of Wolves and I want to read the next volume(s) of Haikyu! and maybe finally finish Death Note haha.

I have been consumed by Daisy Jones & the Six and by Shadow and Bone so that is all I have been watching haha. With these busy weeks I haven’t had that much time to watch shows so I haven’t even finished Shadow and Bone unfortunately but I expect I will do so this week.

With the final episodes of Daisy Jones & the Six behind me, I just had to listen to the album on repeat for a little longer haha. It’s such a good album and I adore the songs so so much.
