Buddy Review| The Assassin’s Blade – Sarah J Maas

Tomorrow is release day for Kingdom of Ash, the final installment of Throne of Glass! This blog wouldn’t even be here without this series, so it’s something special to us. All week this week we will have some type of ToG related post come online.

In April we decided to start our reread of this series and read The Assassin’s Blade. We posted our review at the end of the month, but that’s when we decided we wanted to do a theme week in October. So we are once again posting the same review to kick off release week of the last book in this amazing series!

Buddy Review | Two Dark Reigns – Kendare Blake

One of the first buddyreviews we did on this channel was for One Dark Throne, the sequel to Three Dark Crowns. We both love this series so it’s no surprise we were looking forward to the third book in the series, Two Dark Reigns ever since. Unfortunately we had some problems with our preorders so it took a while before we got to it. But now we’ve both read this wonderful YA fantasy and want to tell you all about it today! There will be some minor spoilers for the first two books, simply because we wouldn’t be able to say anything about it otherwise. So if you haven’t read the previous books, you might want to stay clear of this review. Continue reading “Buddy Review | Two Dark Reigns – Kendare Blake”

Buddy Review| My Plain Jane – Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows

Buddy Review| People Like Us – Dana Mele

We are both fans of Riverdale and were looking for a book that could compare. People Like Us sounded like the perfect fit. TBR & Beyond, a group we both belong to, was having a group read. Buddy Review | The Assassin’s Blade – Sarah J Maas

After it was announced that the last installment of this book will be called Kingdom of Ash we both decided we missed the world and wanted to read these books again. It’s kind of funny when you think about the fact that we met thorough a readalong of this series, haha. Every month we are going to review one book. It gives us just enough time to read them all before Kingdom of Ash is released. Be warned there will be spoilers in these reviews. So if you haven’t read this series yet, you may not want to read our review! We are starting with The Assassin’s Blade!

Buddy Review| The Exact Opposite of Okay – Laura Steven

It’s the last Saturday of the month, which means we have a buddy review for you all today! A lot of time we manage more than once a month, but we always have one at the end of the month. It’s a lot of fun reading the same book and talking about it while reading. This month we read The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven.

Buddy Review| Take Your Medicine – Hannah Carmack

Not too long ago an author approached us and asked if we would like to read and review her novella. It was a southern gothic retelling of Alice and Wonderland. This sounded really interesting, so we definitely said yes! It’s always really flattering when an author approaches us like this. Today we are here with our review of Take Your Medicine.

Buddy Review| The Beauty of Darkness – Mary E. Pearson

We reviewed The Heart of Betrayal not too long ago, so we decided the last book needed to be read soon after that. After having quite a lot of time between the first two books, it’s easy to forget things. This is the last book and we didn’t want that to happen again.
