One of our reading goals is working on our Netgalley feedback ratio. Eventually we want to get it to 80%. And to help motivate us we decided to do this new post every week. We pick three of our eARCs and based on the first line, paragraph, or page we decide which one we’ll read next. Let’s take a look at today’s picks for this week’s Netgalley Next!
Royal Update #159
We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too! Continue reading “Royal Update #159”
Down the TBR Hole #93
It’s been almost a month since my last Down the TBR Hole post. I ended 2022 at 900 books on my want to read shelf, so I’m hoping to continue my trend and get this number a lot lower in 2023.
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
Review | Gallant – V.E. Schwab
My final read of 2022! It took me a while but I finished this eARC just before the year was over. I was super excited to get this eARC but after reading a little bit I put it down in favour of something else and it took me months to pick it back up. In December I finally did and now I want to share my thoughts with you all. Let’s jump in!

Author Corner| Interview with Emily Kazmierski
Emily Kazmierski has written YA thrillers that I’ve loved and is back with her latest book: Good Girl, Dead Girl. This is definitely one you will want to check out. It had me hooked from the start. Emily took some time for me to answer some questions for today’s interview. Keep on reading to find out more about this author and her latest book.

Bookish Item | Reading Goals 2022 Wrap Up
At the end of December we shared our reading goals for 2023. Since 2022 has ended it means it’s time to look back at our 2022 reading goals. About halfway through the year we did an update so you might have an idea where we’re headed with our goals. Do you think we reached all of them? Some of them? Or none of them? Let’s dive in and find out! Continue reading “Bookish Item | Reading Goals 2022 Wrap Up”
Blog Tour| Exes and O’s – Amy Lea
After loving Set on You by Amy Lea I couldn’t say no when approached by the publisher to participate in the blog tour for the second book. Exes and O’s released this week and today I wanted to tell you what I thought about this book.
A big thank you to the publisher for providing me with an eARC to read and review.
Review | Untethered Sky – Fonda Lee
I have Fonda Lee’s Jade City on my shelves and I want to read it badly. But I somehow haven’t picked it up yet. When I came across the eARC for Untethered Sky I immediately wanted to read it. And I picked it up right away. I also have to mention this is a Tordotcom novella, stories I usually love! Today I have my review for you, so let’s dive in. Continue reading “Review | Untethered Sky – Fonda Lee”
Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Prince & The Apocalypse – Kara McDowell
We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.
Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Prince & The Apocalypse – Kara McDowell”
TTT #271| Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the First Half of 2023 Part 2
We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the First Half of 2023. Seeing how we just recently talked about our anticipated releases for January 2023 I won’t be talking about any releases this month. Let’s see what the other months have in store that I’m excited about!
