Bookish Item| Bookstagram Chooses My TBR Update

Published on by The Book Dutchesses2 Comments

So last week I posted the next post in my Bookstagram Chooses My Next 4 Reads post. Now that I have 6 posts with this theme, I decided to take a look back at these picks. I’ve read more than I actually expected (part 2 is the only installment that doesn’t have any books read so far). I also wont’ be discussing part 6, because I just posted that last week.

I won’t be reviewing the books, but this TBR update is to see how successful these posts are. I want to see if I end up actually liking what’s picked for me. I already talked about them in the monthly wrap ups, so I’ll link those to the titles read. So we’re going to take a bit of a look at my average ratings, so keep on reading to find out more!

I’ve said this a few times, but I love doing these bookstagram chooses posts (part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, & part 5). I will be honest and say I haven’t read all of them yet, but I have made a list on my phone to keep track. I’m also going to try and post a little wrap up of what I’ve read so far soon.

Published on by The Book DutchessesLeave a comment

So after tomorrow, my vacation starts! I have two weeks off and we don’t have a lot planned. Well we have a few outings we want to do and it’s my birthday and we’re going out to dinner for that. It’ll mostly be a staycation and time to charge out batteries.

I already wrote a TBR for March, but  there are a few other books I’m really hoping to read during my time off of work. Let’s talk about them now!

Bookish Item| March TBR

With about a week left in February, it’s time to start thinking about what I want to read in March. I’m off of work the first two weeks of the month, so I’m hoping to get quite a bit of reading in. As usual, my TBRs aren’t something I stick to, but I still like making one. So keep on reading to see what I hope to read in March!

Bookish Item | Poetry Collections on my Wishlist

Published on by The Book DutchessesLeave a comment

Last week I shared my review of Diary of a Romantica vol. 1 by Celia Martinez, the first poetry collection I’ve read in a while. Lately I’ve been enjoying consuming poetry a lot. I both listen to poems (mostly via TikTok), read them online and now read them in a physical collection again. And I’ve added a couple poetry collections to my wishlist, so I thought it would be fun to share that wishlist with you today. Let’s dive in! Bookish Item | 2019 Bookhauls – What Have I Read? Part 2

Published on by The Book Dutchesses1 Comment

Every month we take a look back at our bookhaul from the month before to see if we actually read the books we buy. This week we decided to take a look back at a whole year. Yesterday Isabelle looked back at 2019, and today it’s my turn! What have I read from my 2019 bookhauls? Keep on reading to find out!

Bookish Item | 2019 Bookhauls – What Have I Read? Part 1

Published on by The Book Dutchesses2 Comments

We look back at our bookhauls from the previous year every month, but we also thought it would be interesting to look back at a few years ago to see how much we’ve actually read. Hopefully this will also be motivation to pick up books we still haven’t read or maybe even do an unhaul. This will probably be a pretty long post, haha. I’m looking back at every book I got in 2019 to see if I’ve read them. Let’s jump in! Continue reading “Bookish Item | 2019 Bookhauls – What Have I Read? Part 1” →

Bookish Item | The Big Books of 2024 According to Goodreads Part 1

Published on by The Book DutchessesLeave a comment

I came across a list on Goodreads about the big books for 2024. Apparently these are the books that have been added the most. I thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the categories and see if I’m interested in them. This will be a multiple parter because there are like 64 books on the whole list haha.

Bookish Item| February TBR

The first month of the year is really flying by. It’s hard to think that next week February starts. That means it’s time to start thinking about what I want to read. As you know, I never completely stick to these lists, but I still think it’s fun to talk about what has been catching my eye.
