Last week I shared my review of Diary of a Romantica vol. 1 by Celia Martinez, the first poetry collection I’ve read in a while. Lately I’ve been enjoying consuming poetry a lot. I both listen to poems (mostly via TikTok), read them online and now read them in a physical collection again. And I’ve added a couple poetry collections to my wishlist, so I thought it would be fun to share that wishlist with you today. Let’s dive in!
Diary of a Romantica vol.2 – Celia Martinez
Of course I want Celia’s next poetry collection. I loved the first one a lot and this one is extremely high up my overall wishlist. Don’t be surprised if I get this in the next month or so haha. I love that I’m building my poetry collection and I love supporting independent artist while doing it.
Love Her Wild – Atticus Poetry
I’ve been following Atticus on instagram for years and I can’t believe I don’t own any of the collections yet. Love Her Wild is also a quote that has stayed with me and I would love to own this. I assume I have read a lot of these poems already but I wouldn’t mind that at all.
Golden – Wilder Poetry
Have read Nocturnal by Wilder Poetry as an eARC and have been wanting to own a physical copy ever since. Golden is the follow-up collection and there will actually be another one released in march! It would be great to add all 3 to my collection but I’ll start with this one ;).
Home – Whitney Hanson
I have come across a couple of poems from Home and they got me curious! They sounded really good and I would love to see what the rest of the poems are like. If they are similar, I am sure I will like this poetry collection a lot.
i deserved a better goodbye – akhira
Another one that I came across on instagram. I have like a couple of posts and they turned out to be from this collection. They were really relatable, that’s probably why they came up on my feed haha, and I would just love to read the rest of the poems.
unrequited feelings – leslie b
This final one is on here for pretty much the same reason as i deserved a better goodbye. I really related to the ones that came up on my feed and now I just want more haha. There does seem to be a trend with these black covers so I guess I could just fill a shelf with just poetry with black and white covers haha.
Since Celia Martinez’ poetry inspired me to write some of my own, I have been wanting to consume more poetry as well. I think it’s good to see different styles and experiment with them myself. So if you have any recommendations I would love to hear it in the comments!
