Bookish Item| March TBR

With about a week left in February, it’s time to start thinking about what I want to read in March. I’m off of work the first two weeks of the month, so I’m hoping to get quite a bit of reading in. As usual, my TBRs aren’t something I stick to, but I still like making one. So keep on reading to see what I hope to read in March!

Group Reads/Buddy Reads

I actually don’t have many of these planned next month. I’m sure some will pop up and at the moment I’m typing this, I don’t know what my in person book club pick for March will be.

The Poppy War – R.F. Kuang

The Poppy War releases in 2018, but I’m finally going to start reading this trilogy. My boyfriend loved the first two books (he still needs to read the final book) and I’m excited to finally read it for myself.

The Perfect Guy Doesn’t Exist – Sophie Gonzales

I’ve loved Sophie’s previous books and The Perfect Guy Doesn’t Exist sounds like a book right up my alley. Our main character writes fanfic and one of her favorite characters comes to life. When this happens she realizes the fictional things she loves may not be so fun in real life. I have a feeling things are going to get interesting.

The Boyfriend Subscription – Steven Salvatore

The Boyfriend Subscription is described as a LGBTQIA+ Pretty Woman retelling and I’m intrigued. That’s all I really know, but I’m sold. I’m excited to finally sit down and read this.

Funny Story – Emily Henry

So Funny Story doesn’t release until the end of April, but this is one I’m really excited to read a little earlier than that. So far I’ve loved all of Emily Henry’s books (besides People We Meet On Vacation that I still need to read) and I’m so excited to have early access to this book. Will our main character fall in love with her ex-fiancee’s new fiancee’s ex?

Physical/Backlist TBR

Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead – Elle Cosimano

I read and loved Finlay Donovan is Killing It, so I’m excited to finally read the second book in the series. The fourth book is releasing in March, so it’s time to start catching up with this series. I can’t wait to see the mess she gets involved in with this one.

Mile High – Liz Tomforde

Mile High is the start of the Windy City series and I own the first three books out. So it’s time to start these sports romance. A few friends of mine have read and loved this series. So I’m hoping to love it as much as them.

Instant Karma – Marissa Meyer

I loved The Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer and I want to catch up with her backlist. Instant Karma is the first book in the Fortuna Beach series and the sequel just released. I know that one has Dungeons and Dragons references, so I’m excited to read it. I think these books can be read as standalones, but I love seeing cameos and Easter eggs found in sequels.

So that’s my March TBR. I know it’s not very long, but with having some time off of work, I want to be able to mood read. What do you plan on reading in March? Let me know in the comments what books you’re excited about reading.

  1. I hope you enjoy these and your time off! I think after a few months of horror/thrillers I’m ready to sink my teeth into a good epic fantasy….but now I just have to find one that I want to read lol…
