Bookish Item| February TBR

The first month of the year is really flying by. It’s hard to think that next week February starts. That means it’s time to start thinking about what I want to read. As you know, I never completely stick to these lists, but I still think it’s fun to talk about what has been catching my eye.

Buddy Reads/Group Reads

At the moment, I don’t know what my book club will be reading for February. Due to certain circumstances I won’t be there for the meeting. I’m hoping it’ll be something amazing!

If I Have to Be Haunted – Miranda Sun

I’m trying to read my Fairyloot books and If I Have to Be Haunted is one of them. Before I even got this edition, I was interested in this book. Our main character is able to speak to the dead. Then she stumbles upon the dead body of a very popular guy from high school. He wants to be resurrected. This is going to be interesting!

eARCs

February has some good releases coming and I have some eARCs I’m excited to get to. I have a few more, but these three are on the top of my list.

Ready or Not – Cara Bastone

Surprise pregnancy isn’t a trope I’ve read a lot of, but Ready or Not sounds really look. I love that this one is described as heartfelt, slow-burn, and friends to lovers romance. Most of all found family is something I love in books. Ready or Not takes place over nine months and I’m excited to pick this one up.

Lore of the Wilds – Analeigh Sbrana

I’ve said recently that I want to read more fantasy, so a romantasy is a great place to start. I don’t know much about this book except the first line in the synopsis: “A stunning Romantasy debut about an enchanted library, two handsome Fae, and one human who brings them all together. ” I was sold at enchanted library!

A Fate Inked in Blood – Danielle L. Jensen

The Bridge Kingdom by this author is a book I enjoyed and also a series I really need to continue. A Fate Inked in Blood is this author’s next book that is a romantasy based on Norse Mythology. I don’t know a lot about that, but I’m so curious about this one.

Physical/Backlist Books

As usual I’ll be picking three random books on my shelves. Let’s see what books we get for February!

Kingdom of Ash – Sarah J. Maas

It’s actually a good thing that Kingdom of Ash is on this list. I’ve been wanting to read the final book in the Throne of Glass series since it 2018. How has it almost been five years?!? Part of me is scared to finish this series, haha. But it needs to be done.

The Way I Hate Him – Meghan Quinn

Meghan Quinn has written quite a few books that I’ve loved and it’s time to read The Way I Hate Him. Her books are never small though and this one is over 500 pages. This is an age gap romance and from what I’ve heard definitely has an emotional punch in it.

A Thousand Miles – Bridget Morrissey

After loving That Summer Feeling last year, I immediately ordered A Thousand Miles. Of course, once it got put on my shelves I kind of ignored it, haha. That being said, I’m still really excited about this one. Two best friends end up reuniting on a road trip and one of our main characters runs a podcast.

So here are a few of the books I’m hoping to read in February! Have you read any of these? Or what books are you hoping to read next month? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
