Bookish Beginnings on Friday | Death of a Cheerleader – Marina Evans

We have a lot of eARC’s and we want to promote them a little bit more. So we decided to do some more Bookish Beginnings On Friday. Today I wanted to share the beginning of Death of a Cheerleader. I just got this eARC and I’m really curious. The author used to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader and I hope that translates to the story. Let’s take a look at the beginning of this book!

Review| Not Quite Dead Yet – Holly Jackson

It’s always exciting when an author you love writes a new book. Holly Jackson wrote the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series and I loved that one. Not Quite Dead Yet is her adult debut and had such an interesting concept, so I had to read it. Today I want to tell you about this book and what I thought.

A big thank you to Netgalley and Bantam for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This doesn’t affect my opinion in any way.

WWW Wednesday #91

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

TTT #396 | Books I’d Like to Reread Part 2

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books with Honorifics in the Title, but I hardly have any books like that. So I decided to do a second part to Candyce’s topic from last week; Books I’d Like to Reread. In the last couple of years I have been rereading a lot more and I am loving it! So I would love to take a look at some more books I want to reread. Let’s dive in!

Down the TBR Hole #152

Since my last Down the TBR Hole, I managed to read one of the books that happened to be on my want to read shelf. It’s progress and I’ll take it!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Review | Silvercloak – L.K. Steven

I have talked about Laura Steven’s books before and I also mentioned her newest release later this month. Thanks to Netgalley I was lucky enough to get an eARC of this book and for once I managed to read it before the release date haha. So today I wanted to share my thoughts on Silvercloak! Tag | Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag 2025

We’re halfway through the year and that means it’s time for the yearly tradition; the Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag! I don’t do many tags anymore, but I always enjoyed this one, so of course I had to do it this year as well. This tag probably doesn’t need any introduction, so let’s dive into the questions! Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Poet Empress – Shen Tao

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Poet Empress – Shen Tao”
