We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

After visiting my old work location, like I mentioned in my last Royal Update post, I worked five days in a row. I normally only work 3 to 4 days and have a break in between, so it was pretty rough. Add in some complications during the week and I was exhausted when the weekend came around. So during our monthly game night, I curled up on the couch and watched bookish videos.

Last week was more quiet. I visited our local garden center with my mother to see all of their new Christmas displays. I love this time of year! Besides that I had my normal working week and I went to book club on Saturday. It was a nice week.

The ARC gods have been kind of to me and I’ve added another 8 eARCs/ALCs to my TBR. I got approved for: What We Did to Survive, Adrift, The Everlasting (ALC), Fallen City (ALC), The Briars, Abby Offsides, It Happened One Murder, and The Great Outdoors.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: Hazel Says No, Sanctuary of the Shadow, Space Vampire, Mistletoe Meet Cute, The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn, Beautiful Nightmare, Leviathan Wakes, and Make Your Move.

I’m currently reading: Cowboy Casual, Alchemised, The Games Gods Play, and In the Dark.

Next I’m hoping to read: Blue Sisters, The Second Chance Cinema, and Say It Out Loud.

I loved Freaky Friday and can’t believe it released 22 years ago! It makes me feel old, haha. So of course, I had to watch Freakier Friday. I really enjoyed that movie. It was fun seeing a new generation.

As a fan of NCIS, I had to watch Tony & Ziva. Their story was one that wasn’t finished and this mini series was definitely a good time. I’m glad we got to see them together again and get some closure.

I love discovering new artists and I stumbled upon Jared Benjamin’s music on TikTok. I’ll definitely have this on repeat for a bit!
