October was a month filled with exciting new book releases! Have we added any of them to our shelves? Or books we’ve been excited about? Keep on reading our October bookhaul to find out!
Candyce
In October I added 9 books to my shelves. When this gets posted, I’ve already read three of the books I hauled this month, so I’m off to a good start. Let’s talk about the books I added to my shelves in October!
My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 Vol. 3 – Mashiro
Another volume of this fun manga released in October! I watched the anime with my boyfriend, and it’s fun to also see little things that weren’t included in that. Even though I don’t game myself, I still love reading about it.
The Girl with No Reflection – Keshe Chow
The Girl with No Reflection is actually Fairyloot’s August YA book, but mine was lost when it was sent, so I had to wait for a replacement. This is another stunning edition, and I love fantasy stories that have royalty in them in some way.
The Thirteenth Child – Erin A. Craig
I really enjoyed Erin’s Sisters of Salt duology, and I believe this is about one of the sisters from that story. It’s the perfect time for an atmospheric read. When I read this, I’ll also be able to add it to my list of big books.
Monarch – Sophie Lark
Monarch is the second book in the Grimstone duology. This is a gothic thriller/romantic suspense. At the moment I’m enjoying Grimstone, so I knew I would need the second book in this secretive beach town.
Heir – Sabaa Tahir
Heir is Sabaa Tahir’s newest book and it takes place in the same world as the An Ember in the Ashes series. This is the YA Fairyloot book of the month. I’m so happy with what they did with this edition, and I can’t wait to read it.
The Dagger and the Flame – Catherine Doyle
The Dagger and the Flame is September’s YA Fairyloot, but once again I had issues with them shipping it. So my replacement came in a little later. This is another stunning edition and has two rival assassins? Sign me up!
Bloodguard – Cecy Robson
Bloodguard is a book I preordered in February and completely forgot about! It didn’t help that the release of this book got delayed, so it was kind of like a surprise to me from my past self, haha. The book is truly stunning and is about gladiators? I’m excited to give this one a try.
The Coven – Harper L. Woods
Adding The Coven to my shelves actually doesn’t add to my TBR, because I read this one when it was still a self-published book. This month’s Fairyloot romantasy book was this stunning edition of The Coven. Seeing how I loved this book, I have to say I’m not mad about having this beautiful book.
Metal Slinger – Rachel Schneider
Metal Slinger is a new romantasy book that I’ve seen quite a bit on booktube and more recently on bookstagram. Besides a stunning cover, I truly enjoyed this book. I flew through this almost 500 page book and I’m sad that there’s no information about the next book in the series.
Isabelle
I bought 2 new books when I was in Paris this week. A trip to Paris means I have to visit Shakespeare & Company. And I can’t leave there without buying at least one book! They also add a stamp to your book if you want to, so cool in my opinion.
Finlay Donovan is Killing It – Elle Cosimano
I have been wanting to read this one for the longest time so this was a good reason to finally buy the book. When we were resting in the hotel I started reading this one and I can’t wait to continue!
Legends & Lattes – Travis Baldree
This has been a really popular read and of course I was also interested in it! I hope I’ll enjoy it just as much as everyone else seems to have.
So that’s our October bookhaul! Have you read any of these? Or are you excited about any of the books you added to your shelves? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you.
