Show Sunday | Fruits Basket

For today’s Show Sunday I want to talk about an anime! I don’t think I have talked about an anime before and I don’t watch that many either. But this week I came across the new Fruits Basket anime and I’ve had the manga on my wishlist for a while. I wasn’t that sure if I wanted to read the manga, as they’re pretty expensive, so I decided to watch the anime first and decide after that. So let’s take a look at my first impression! Bookish Item | Book Beginnings on Friday – Senlin Ascends – Josiah Bancroft

Book Beginnings on Friday isn’t a prompt I’ve done before, but Candyce did it a couple of times and it looked really interesting. This meme was created by Rose City Reader.

The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that. I don’t know how often I will do this, but it seems like fun from time to time.

As you may have seen on our Insta-stories I started a buddy-read with my friend Melissa this Wednesday. We’re reading Senlin Ascends by Josiah Bancroft, a book you might recognize from my adult fantasy TBR! Let’s take a look!

After reading Well Suited not too long ago, I became very curious when Staci Hart announced her new book. Coming Up Roses is a romantic comedy and I love those. The last few times I’ve done a tag, I’ve had a lot of fun doing ones related to TV shows I really enjoy. I recently binge watched season 3 of This Is Us and I was hooked again. TTT #83 | Standalone Books That Need a Sequel Part 2

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Unpopular Bookish Opinions. But I don’t really have that many unpopular opinions, I’m so basic haha. So I looked at same past topics and remembered a fun one Candyce did. And that’s Standalone Books That Need a Sequel. Today I’ll show you 10 books I wish had gotten a sequel. I have to say, when looking at my standalone shelf on Goodreads I was amazed to see how many books have had a sequel released or announced since I read them! So many books are already getting sequels, let’s hope these do too. Let’s jump in! Continue reading “TTT #83 | Standalone Books That Need a Sequel Part 2”
