Goodreads just posted an article about the 144 most read books for the 2025 reading challenge divided over 12 genres. So 12 books per genre! And I of course had to take a look at that list, I love lists. I also thought it would be fun to share how many books I have read, if I have books on my TBR and if there are any books I would like to read on the list. Let’s jump in!

Can’t Wait Wednesday | Automatic Noodle – Annalee Newitz
We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.
Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | Automatic Noodle – Annalee Newitz”
Bookish Item| Bookshelf Check-in #1
Recently I’ve seen a lot of people on YouTube doing videos where they either have to read a book or unhaul it, or they even look back at hauls to see if they’ve read what they added to their shelves. We take a look back at our bookhauls every month, but that’s always looking back to the previous year.
What about the books I added to my shelves since we started this blog? So I decided to do a bookshelf check-in once every month or so. Take a look back at bookhauls from years ago to see what I’ve read, unhauled, and haven’t read. If I still own a book and haven’t read it, I will try and read it that month. It’ll be good to be a bit more aware of what’s been on my shelves for years. Let’s take a look back at September & October 2017! Our first two bookhauls.
Looking Back at Our Bookhauls | May 2024
The first Monday of the month means it’s time for us to look back at we added to our shelves. Looking Back at Our Bookhauls is a scary post, because have we actually read what we add to our shelves? Today we’re looking back at our May 2024 bookhaul. Let’s see how we did!

Review| This Book Will Bury Me – Ashley Winstead
So far I’ve only read one Ashley Winstead book, but I have been wanting to read more for a while. I watch a lot of true crime documentaries with my mother, so I was intrigued when I read what This Book Will Bury Me is about. Today I want to tell you about this book and what I thought.
A big thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Landmark for providing me with an eARC to read and review. This doesn’t affect my opinion in any way.

WWW Wednesday #88
It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
