We thought it was time for a fun new post every week. In the Royal Update one of us updates you about our personal life, bookish news, what we’re reading, watching and listening to and anything else that might apply to this post. We thought it would be fun to share a bit more about our personal lives and hope you think so too!

It’s actually been kind of a busy two weeks. When my aunt and her husband left, I went back to work. I’ve had some days off though, because I took my first exam in 9 years. The store I work for is remodeling later this year and wants to add more over the counter medication to what we sell. To be able to do that you need employees with diplomas who know a lot about said medication. I passed with 90%, so I’m pretty proud of myself.

We also finally got the rest of the furniture we ordered. Our dining room table, chairs and coffee table were delivered last week. Our cat was a bit confused with all of the change, but we’re happy with how everything looks.

After adding so many books to my Kindle last time, I only added three since my last Royal Update: Fairydale, Joy to the Girls, and Falling Like Leaves.

Since my last Royal Update I finished reading: The Girl with All the Gifts, The Tenant, A Sign of Affection Vol. 11, This Book Will Bury Me, It’s a Love Story, Throttled, The Ex Vows, The Temptation of Magic, The League of Gentlewomen, and All Your Twisted Secrets.

I’m currently reading: Till Summer Do Us Part and Comeback.

Next I plan on reading: Woven by Gold, Keeping 13, and The Secret Service of Tea and Treason.

The boyfriend and I are working on the Wheel of Time series. We’re currently watching season 2 and we’re both frustrated the show got canceled after season 3. It’s so good!

Last weekend we watched The Highwaymen. None of us had heard of this movie even though it’s a few years old, but it was really good!

On one of my 00s playlist there was a song by Katharine McPhee. That had me looking up the album and listening to it. I have to say it’s been years since I’ve listened to Katherine’s album.
