I’ve really been enjoying mood reading and just seeing what calls to me when I sit down to read. In the TBR and Beyond Facebook group we always do middle grade May, so I will be adding a few middle grade books that I really want to read this month. So keep on reading to see what books I’m really hoping to read in May!

Tag | Try a Chapter: Netgalley Edition Part 7

A little while ago I used a try a chapter tag to see if I was still interested in the older eArcs I haven’t read yet. While I was excited for them when I requested them, my reading tastes have changed a bit and some of these books just aren’t for me anymore. I have not nearly enough time to spend it on books I don’t enjoy or I’m not excited about so I have to make some decisions. Let’s see what I think after the first chapter! Can’t Wait Wednesday | Never a Hero – Vanessa Len

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | Never a Hero – Vanessa Len”

TTT #285| My Favorite TV Shows

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a Non-Book Freebie. Besides reading a lot of books I’m a big fan of watching TV shows. I really don’t have enough hours in a day. So keep on reading to find out what some of my favorite TV shows are.

5 On My TBR | Classics

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.

This week’s topic is Classics. I’m not really a classics reader and I think I only have one on my shelves. But I’m going to give them a good look and see if I can find some more. I think I might have some books that could be considered SFF classics. Let’ dive in! Continue reading “5 On My TBR | Classics”

Show Sunday | Daisy Jones and the Six

I’ve been talking about this show non-stop so of course I had to do a whole post about it haha. Since the end of February I’ve listened to the audiobook twice, watched the show and I’ve had the album on repeat on Spotify. You can probably guess I liked it ;). But if you want to know a bit more details you should keep on reading!

Book Tour| Fox Point’s Own Gemma Hopper – Brie Spangler

Middle grade books tend to be my favorite, because I love they either have a message or something the readers can learn or relate to. Fox Point’s Own Gemma Harper is about finding your place and I think as we grow up that’s something we all struggle with at times. So I’m excited to talk about this book on my tour stop hosted by TBR and Beyond Tours. Keep on reading to find out more about this book!

Bookish Item | Series I Want to Finish in 2023

One of my yearly reading goals is to finish 12 series. This is one of my goals every single year and I don’t think there has been one year where I’ve even gotten close haha. I actually started off strong this year and I hope to continue that. So I’ve made a list of series I want to finish this year. These are 7 book series with a pretty good chance of me finishing them this year!
