As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is whimsical. I honestly had to look up what this would mean for books before looking for titles. Whimsical is “playfully quaint or fanciful”. So I looked at my shelves and took five books that looked our sounded whimsical to me.

Since my last Down the TBR Hole post I’ve read two of the books on my want to read shelf. So I’m starting off better than I did with my last post. Hopefully I can keep this going. Reading books off my shelves in the house has been helping, haha.
Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!
I was definitely curious about this one because R.F. Kuang wrote is, and because she posted an intriguing tiktok about it. After seeing some great early reviews I just knew I had to read it as well. I was very lucky to receive an eARC through Netgalley and I’m excited to share my thoughts with you all. Even though I do think this one will be pretty hard to review. Let’s dive in!

I recently wrote a post bookstagram choose my next 4 reads and I’m having a lot of fun. I’m about to start the third book, so I’ll be updating you all about this experience soon. Seeing how I’m almost done with this first round and it’s a success I want to give it another go.

Recently I’ve been rereading the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas and I realised I never reviewed most of the books in the series. Candyce and I did a buddy review (our very first one!) of Tower of Dawn when it was released and I reviewed book 4 on Goodreads (in Dutch) but that’s it.
