Bookish Beginnings on Friday | Assistant to the Villain – Hannah Nicole Maehrer

My most recent addition to my TBR is Assistant to the Villain, a book I’ve heard many great things about. I think it sounds hilarious and I really hope that is the case. So I figured I would take a look at the start of the book and get a sense of the writing style. Let’s jump in!

Review| Still Beating – Jennifer Hartmann

Still Beating released in 2020, but it’s a book I still keep hearing about three years later. So when Bloom announced they were publishing it and I was lucky to receive and eARC, I decided to finally sit down and read it. This book was quite the surprise! Keep on reading to find out what Still Beating is about and what I thought!

This book does get pretty dark, so if you have a hard time reading about certain things, definitely look up the warnings.

WWW Wednesday #48

It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!

So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

TTT #310 | Bookish Jobs I Would Do For Free

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is bookish jobs I would do for free. While the concept sounds like fun, it also sounds pretty difficult. I’m not sure I can come up with 10 ideas haha. Let’s see how far I got! Continue reading “TTT #310 | Bookish Jobs I Would Do For Free”

Down the TBR Hole #111

This week I’m starting of my Down the TBR Hole with the same amount of books on my want to read shelf as last time.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Review | A Court of Mist and Fury – Sarah J. Maas

As you probably know I’m currently rereading all of Sarah J. Maas’ books in anticipation of the release of Crescent City #3. The last review I shared was of A Court of Thorns and Roses so today I wanted to share my thoughts on the second book in that series; A Court of Mist and Fury. There might be some small spoilers for the book so beware if you haven’t read this one yet. Continue reading “Review | A Court of Mist and Fury – Sarah J. Maas”
