It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for my next WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
Still Beating – Jennifer Hartmann
I mentioned in last week’s WWW Wednesday I was reading Still Beating. I read the majority in one sitting and wow that was such an emotional ride. Be aware that this book is very dark and hard to read at times. The author made you feel their emotions. I’m hoping to read Lotus soon.
Good Bad Girl – Alice Feeney
Good Bad Girl was another book I was reading last week and it was an interesting one. It took a second to figure out who all of the characters were and I was able to guess some twists, but this book still surprised me quite a few times.
Salt in the Wound – Sierra Simone
I bought Salt Kiss last month, but didn’t realize there was a prequel. When I saw this on Storytel I decided I was going to listen to this one. Salt in the Wound definitely gives us some background information and I’m excited to see where the story goes.
What are you currently reading?
Murder in the Family – Cara Hunter
Murder in the Family is a book I saw on TikTok and was intrigued right away. This book is told through transcripts/interviews from a show about a murder that took place 20 years ago. A group of professionals is trying to solve it. I love how this story has been told so far and there have been some wild twists. I have about 150 pages left and have no clue where this is going.
You, with a View – Jessica Joyce
When You, with a View released in July I remember seeing it everywhere. A lot of people loved it and now that I’ve read 200 pages I can understand why. I love the emotion, family stories, and the slow burn romance we’re bound to get.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Out of the Ashes – Kara Thomas
I only know Kara Thomas’ YA books and I only recently realized this is an adult thriller. A woman decides to investigate her family’s murders and uncovers a lot of secrets. I’m curious to see what Kara does with an adult thriller.
Enchanted to Meet You – Meg Cabot
It’s October, so I can’t not read a witchy book. Enchanted to Meet You is my swoon read for the month. Our main character is a witch and has to try and save her town and to do so has to team up with a handsome stranger.
So that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week! Have you read any of these? Or what are you currently reading? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
