Well Met is a book that we’ve both had our eye on since it released. If you look at the cover and know it takes place a Renaissance Faire, it should be clear why we needed to read this book. Add a group discussion to the mix and it was decided we’d both read this book in August. Today we want to tell you about this book. Did it live up to our expectations? Keep on reading to find out!
We’ve seen The Diviners around in the bookish community and have been wanting to read it forever. It was time to choose a new buddyread, so we decided to give this series a go! What did we think? Did it live up to our expectations? Keep on reading to find out!
We’re both a big fan of The Lady Janies trilogy and have already read and reviewed My Lady Jane and My Plain Jane. After a long wait, we both finally bought My Calamity Jane! This was an anticipated release for both of us, so we read it almost right away. Today we want to tell you what we thought of the third and final book in this trilogy.
The Black Flamingo is a book we’ve been hearing a lot about and seeing everywhere. It’s a book both of us were really interested in. We found it on Storytel and listened to the audiobook. Today we want to share our thoughts on this book. Keep on reading to find out more!
As you know, last month was middle grade May! Both of us were able to read quite a few middle grade books, including Ghost Squad. This book was also a group read in the TBR & Beyond group and if you go look, there’s a live chat to watch with Claribel A. Ortega. Today we want to talk about this book!
After reviewing Every Heart a Doorway (Isabelle’s Review & Candyce’s Review) and Down Among the Sticks and Bones, we’re back with the review for the next book. Beneath the Sugar Sky is the third book in the Wayward Children series. Once again, Seanan McGuire brings us an unique book. Keep on reading to find out what we thought of this one!
We both read Every Heart a Doorway and loved this story and were both really excited to continue with this series. Down Among the Sticks and Bones was another interesting installment of this story and we can’t wait to talk about it. Keep on reading to see our review!
Sorcery of Thorns is a book we both got as e-arc from Netgalley before released and just haven’t gotten around to. And not for lack of trying, haha. There are so many books, too little time! But there was a readalong on Instragram last month and we decided to join! So today can finally tell you what we thought about Sorcery of Thorns.
A big thanks to Netgalley and Simon & Schuster for giving us access to an e-arc of this book!
Both of us enjoyed A Touch of Gold by Annie Sullivan and were excited to hear about her new book. Tiger Queen is available tomorrow, but thanks to the author, publisher and Fantasic Flying Book Club, we had the opportunity to read an e-ARC for this blog tour. Today we want to tell you what we thought of this book and share a few of our favorite quotes!
We both read Killing November by Adriana Mather recently so it was the perfect time for another buddy review. Adriana Mather did a live chat in the TBR and Beyond group and that made for a good excuse to pick this book up. We both had it on our radar and wanted to read it, and because of the live chat we did pretty soon after the release at the end of m=March. Let’s see what we thought about this story.
