Down the TBR Hole #155

It’s been two weeks since my last Down the TBR Hole and I’m currently reading a book on my want to read shelf, so it’s down one book since my last post.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. This meme is now being hosted by Jody from I’m Into Books. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Mini Reviews | Pole Position – Rebecca J. Caffery & The Deal – Elle Kennedy

I’ve been rested and not stressed and right away I’ve finished multiple books! So I thought it would be nice to do some reviews. I don’t have a ton to say about most of the books I’ve read, so I figured it was time for a couple of mini reviews again. Today I picked two sports romances, hopefully you’ll enjoy these mini reviews. Let’s get into it! Continue reading “Mini Reviews | Pole Position – Rebecca J. Caffery & The Deal – Elle Kennedy”

Bookish Item| September TBR

September is right around the corner and that means I’ve started thinking about my September TBR. I only work one week next month and have the rest of the time off. Which means I’ll be reading more than usual, haha. I only plan on talking about a few possible reads in this post. I want to mood read and enjoy some of the 20 (!) eARCs I have that release in September. Let’s take a look!

Bookish Item | Upcoming 2025 Releases I Still Have Netgalley eARC’s For

Candyce and I have been pretty lucky with the eARC’s we’ve been getting since we started this blog. We won’t get all of the eARC’s, but we’ve gotten a lot of great ones over the years! One of my yearly reading goals remains to read more of the eARC’s I still haven’t read. It’s one of the biggest challenges every single time. Today I thought it would be fun to see which upcoming 2025 releases I still had eARC’s for. I don’t think there are a lot, so maybe I can finish them before the end of the year? Let’s take a look! Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Shipwright and the Shroudweaver – Rafael Torrubia

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Shipwright and the Shroudweaver – Rafael Torrubia”

TTT #399| Books with a High Page Count (I Still Need to Read) Part 2

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books with a High Page Count. Isabelle wasn’t feeling last week’s topic, so she decided to do this one before. You can see here post here. Today I want to talk about ten books with a high page count that I still need to read. Let’s take a look!

Show Sunday | Ballard

After finishing one show, I was looking for something else when I came across Ballard. I was intrigued because it had Maggie Q as the lead and I have loved her since Nikita (and also; now I want to rewatch Nikita) and it’s about a cold case ‘unit’. There have been a lot of shows about cold cases that I really enjoyed, so I hoped that would be the case with this one as well. Let’s see what I thought about it! Author Corner| Interview with Samantha Sotto Yambao

It’s been quite some time since I’ve done an author corner, but I still love finding out more about the authors of books I’ve loved or want to read. Water Moon by Samantha Sotto Yambao is a book I saw everywhere in the bookish community at the beginning of this year. It has a stunning cover and an amazing concept for a story.

I got to interview Samantha for today’s post and I’ll tell you about Water Moon as well. Keep on reading to find out more!
