Bookhaul | November 2024

Another month is over, so it’s time to look back at the previous month. November is the last month before Christmas, so were we good before getting gifts? Today is our November bookhaul, so keep on reading to find out!

Candyce

In the month of November I added 10 new books to my shelves. I’ve read three of them so far, so I’m off to a good start. Let’s take a look at what I got!

Cat + Gamer Vol. 6 – Wataru Nadatani

Cat + Gamer is one of my favorite manga series so far, so of course I had to get the newest volume when it released. I’ve already read this one and I’m sad we only have two volumes to go before this one is over.

A Sign of Affection Vol. 10 – Suu Morishita

Another one of my favorite manga series had a release and I added it to my shelves as well. The only thing I don’t like about manga is that I read them so quickly, haha. A Sign of Affection is still ongoing, but volume 11 just released in Japan in July, so I don’t know when we’ll be getting the next volume. I may just have to reread the series.

God of Malice & God of Pain – Rina Kent

Rina Kent is an author that quite a few of my friends love. I’ve read one book by her and enjoyed it. Bloom Books is releasing her Legacy of Gods series. These first two editions are stunning with dark red and dark purple sprayed edges. Hopefully I can make a dent in Rina Kent’s backlist next year.

Kingmakers: Year Two – Sophie Lark

A couple of months ago I added Kingmakers: Year One to my shelves, so I had to get this edition to match the first book. Sophie Lark is another author with a backlist I want to catch up with next year. Also, how can I resist these sprayed edges?

Lady of Darkness & Lady of Shadows – Melissa K. Roehrich

The Lady of Darkness series is one I’ve become curious about recently. I’ve seen this recommended for fans of Throne of Glass and now that they’ve been picked up by a traditional publisher, I couldn’t resist picking the first two books up.

A Fire in the Sky – Sophie Jordan

A Fire in the Sky is this month’s romantasy book from Fairyloot. The naked hardcover is stunning and this story sounds right up my alley. I actually have an eARC of this one, so maybe I should make this one a priority really soon?

For She Is Wrath – Emily Varga

For She Is Wrath is the YA Fairyloot book for November and this edition is stunning. This is a Pakistani, romantic fantasy retelling of The Count of Monte Cristo. I’m not too familiar with that story, but For She Is Wrath sounds really good.

I Was a Teenage Slasher – Stephen Graham Jones

Horror isn’t my normal go to genre, but I decided to give it a go for my Discord book club. I actually already read this one. While I’m still not a huge horror fan, I have to say this one was enjoyable.

Isabelle

I had to double check, but I didn’t get any new books in November! And I still have my Audible credit so I don’t even have a new audiobook. Can you believe that?! I hope to get a couple of new books around Christmas so next bookhaul will undoubtedly be more exciting!

So that’s our November bookhaul! Have you read any of these? Or what did you add to your shelves this month? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
