Peaky Blinders was one of my favorite tv shows of the past years and I’m so excited we are finally getting the movie! So of course I also immediately had to write a post about it haha. We got a first look, so that is what I’ll be discussing. Let’s jump in!
During World War II, Tommy Shelby returns to a bombed Birmingham and becomes involved in secret wartime missions based on true events, facing new threats as he reckons with his past and rising national stakes.
This is such a dark show and I hardly ever could predict what would happen next. We are getting a bit of a time jump after the end of the show into the movie. It is now World War II and apparently Tommy will be involved with wartime missions. I’m already so curious as to what will happen in the movie and if this will truly be the end of the era. And if it’s the end, will that mean that Tommy dies?
One of my favorite characters used to be Michael (pre season 6), and I’m still sad about his final storyline and I’m disappointed he won’t be in the movie. Hopefully Finn will have a good comeback though! I have always loved the family dynamics in the show and I hope there will be a focus on them again in the movie.
Some of the episodes were quite long, already like a small movie, so I’m wondering how long the movie will be. And how much of a storyline there will be, they can’t make it too big in my opinion or they won’t resolve it all in a satisfactory manner. I can’t express how excited I am for this movie.
It will be available to stream on Netflix on March 20th and it will be in selected cinemas on March 6th. I hope it will be in a cinema close to me, but I have no idea about that yet. Either way, I will be watching this on March 20th for sure! Are you looking to this movie? What are your hopes for it? Let me know down below!
