Down the TBR Hole #83

Wow, it’s been two weeks since my last down the TBR Hole and I’m at the same amount of books on that shelf as I was then. I’m proud of myself, haha.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Review | Three Kisses, One Midnight – Roshani Chokshi, Sandhya Menon & Evelyn Skye

This was one of my latest Netgalley eARC’s and to be honest, I didn’t plan on picking it up so fast. But than I used it for a Netgalley Next and all of a sudden I wanted to read it right away. I love when a book (and a post) throws you for a loop! After finishing this one pretty quickly, I of course wanted to share my thoughts with you. So let’s jump in!

Bookish Beginnings on Friday| Seton Girls – Charlene Thomas

Isabelle did a Can’t Wait Wednesday post for Seton Girls and it’s also a book I’m really interested in. I recently got the e-arc and I’ll be posting an interview with the author soon, so it’s definitely a great time to do another post for this book. We have a lot of eARC’s and we want to promote them a little bit more. So we decided to do some more Bookish Beginnings On Friday.

This meme was created by Rose City Reader. The idea is to post the first sentence or so of the book you’re currently reading. After that you talk about your initial thoughts about the sentence, book or anything to do with that.

Book Tour| The Daredevils – Rob Buyea

I haven’t read much middle grade this year and that’s something that makes me sad. Middle grade is such a great genre filled with a lot of important lessons. I need to make sure to read more the last few months of the year. One I definitely want to read is The Daredevils and today is my spot on the tour for this middle grade book hosted by TBR and Beyond Tours. Keep on reading to find out more about this book.

Review | The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes – Suzanne Collins

As I mentioned in the July Wrap-Up,  saw a TikTok video and I just had to pick up The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The TikTok was about the song The Hanging Tree and someone commented that it was featured in this book. Since I adore that scene in the original trilogy, both in the book and in the movie, I couldn’t resist! Especially in the movie, it is just so emotional and it was probably my favorite scene from the movie. So let’s see if this latest book lived up to all the expectations!

Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Final Gambit – Jennifer Lynn Barnes

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Continue reading “Can’t Wait Wednesday | The Final Gambit – Jennifer Lynn Barnes”

Blog Tour| Just Another Love Song – Kerry Winfrey

Today I’m back with a stop on the blog tour for Just Another Love Song. Berkley reached out and asked if I wanted to participate and I couldn’t say no. I’m very thankful to participate and tell you about this book and what I thought today! Keep on reading to find out more.

A big thank you to the publisher for providing me with an e-arc to read and review.

TTT #249 | Five Star Reads Predictions

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is hilarious book titles, but I’ve been thinking about it for a few days and I’m blanking on this topic. So I decided to do my own thing. It’s fun doing five star predictions and it’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these posts, so here are ten books I expect to be five star reads (which will be a combination of books already out there and that will be released before the end of the year)!

Looking Back At Our Bookhauls | July 2021

It’s that time of month again after we’ve talked about the books we read and received the previous month to look back at our bookhauls from the year before. This is always an interesting post to write, because have we actually read the books we add to our shelves? Today we’ll be looking back at our July 2021 bookhaul. Let’s go!
