As I mentioned in the July Wrap-Up,  saw a TikTok video and I just had to pick up The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The TikTok was about the song The Hanging Tree and someone commented that it was featured in this book. Since I adore that scene in the original trilogy, both in the book and in the movie, I couldn’t resist! Especially in the movie, it is just so emotional and it was probably my favorite scene from the movie. So let’s see if this latest book lived up to all the expectations!

Review| Dev1at3 – Jay Kristoff

I read and reviewed Lifel1k3 quite some time ago, but didn’t take the time to read the sequel, Dev1at3. Before I started I did a reread of Lifel1k3 and then dived right into Dev1at3. Mini Reviews | Shadow Me & Defy Me – Tahereh Mafi

When I started reading Defy Me I realized I had forgotten a lot about Restore Me haha. So a friend told me I should really read the novella Shadow Me first and I’m so happy I did. I don’t have that much to say about either story though, so I thought I would do another round of mini reviews.

Review| Book of Fire – Michelle Kenney

Review| Gunslinger Girl – Lyndsay Ely

Gunslinger Girl wasn’t a book that was top priority on my TBR. To be honest, I’ve never read a Western before and that kind of held me back. I did hear a lot of good things about it though. TBR & Beyond had this book as a group read. There was even a chat with the author, so I gave the book a try.
