We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2022. There will definitely be more than these ten books, but here are some I’m really excited about!
Weather Girl – Rachel Lynn Solomon
Rachel Lynn Solomon has become one of my favorite authors and Weather Girl has been on my radar since it was announced. Let’s start off by talking about this amazing cover. I’m a big fan of illustrated covers. A TV meteorologist and sports reporter try reuniting their divorced bosses, but we all know that they’re going to fall in love.
Court – Tracy Wolff
Court is a book that was supposed to release last year and I was so disappointed when it got pushed back. I binged the first three books in this series early this year and I need to know how it continues. I honestly never expected to love this series as much as I did. Thankfully it’s almost here.
House of Sky and Breath – Sarah J. Maas
Another book I’ve been anxiously awaiting. House of Earth and Blood released in 2020 and I devoured that book. It was over 800 pages, but I needed more! I got really invested in all of the characters and this world Maas created.
Gallant – V.E. Schwab
V.E. Schwab has become an auto-buy author for me and Gallant sounds amazing. On top of this stunning cover the story sounds amazing. Gallant is pitched as The Secret Garden meets Crimson Peak. It’s a horror book, so it’s going to be dark, but I’m excited.
Mr. Wrong Number – Lynn Painter
After Better Than the Movies I’ve decided I want every book this author writes. Mr. Wrong Number also has something I love: text messages! I also love stories when someone sends a text to the wrong number and the story gets interesting.
Four Aunties and a Wedding – Jesse Q. Sutanto
Dial A for Aunties was such a fun read and I definitely need the sequel. It seems like our main character’s walk down the aisle is going to have some obstacles. Especially when her wedding planners end up being mafia. I’m hoping this one makes me laugh as much as the first book did.
Only a Monster – Vanessa Len
I can’t imagine what it’s like finding out your family are all monsters with hidden powers. Add on top of that the boy you’ve been crushing on is a monster slayer and thing could get interesting! This is an adventure I need in my life.
In Every Generation – Kendare Blake
I’m a big fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so I’m excited Kendare Blake is starting a new generation in this story. And what excites me the most is that this book comes out January 4th! I only have to wait a week to get my hands on this one.
So This Is Ever After – F.T. Lukens
Okay, so I still need to read In Deeper Waters (even though this has nothing to do with this book), but I’m excited about this author’s next release. Another stunning cover and a story that definitely has my attention. Carry On meets Arthurian Legend sounds like something I need in my life.
Am I Allergic to Men? – Kristen Bailey
If I’m honest it was the title that definitely caught my eye. Reading the synopsis had me laughing out loud and I always like having a stash of those ready to read! Am I Allergic to Me? will definitely be a book I fly through.

Court sounds lovely. The cover may be too plain for some but I think it’s very eye-catching too. Off to check out the blurb — but in the meantime, Happy TTT and Happy 2022.

I’m excited for the new Crescent City book, too… And I haven’t even read the first. I need to get on that.
I’ve read a ton of good reviews for Weather Girl. You’re going to love it, if you’re like all the other readers.
Gallant is one of my most anticipated releases for next year as well!
