It’s that time again for us to talk about our most anticipated releases for the next month. This time it just happens to be for the first month of the new year: January 2022. January always tends to be extreme with the amount of book releases, so it’s always interesting to see how many end up on our list. Keep on reading to see what books we’re looking forward to releasing next month!
It Will End Like This – Kyra Leigh (January 4th)
A contemporary take on Lizzie Borden for fans of The Cheerleaders and Sadie. I guess that’s all I needed to know to add this one. This sounds like a dark story and I’m all here for it.
Where the Drowned Girls Go – Seanan McGuire (January 4th)
The next instalment in the Wayward Children series. You know we want to read them as soon as they release haha. I actually already read an eARC and I can’t wait to discuss it with other readers.
Murder of Crows – K. Ancrum (January 4th)
Apparently Murder of Crows is based off of a hit podcast. I’m not familiar with it, but this book still sounds really interesting. I’ve been a big fan of thrillers/mysteries this year and this book sounds like something I’ll really enjoy. K. Ancrum has written books that I’ve enjoyed before, so I’m excited about Murder of Crows.
In Every Generation – Kendare Blake (January 4th)
A new series in the Buffy universe. I adore Kendare Blake so of course I’m excited for this book. And it also reminds me I have to continue watching Buffy haha. It’s set after the show ended and some of the characters will be in there so I think I want to finish the tv show first.
A Killer Sundae – Abby Collette (January 4th)
Cozy mysteries are something I’m just now discovering and I want to read more. A Killer Sundae looks like a fun story and I’m excited to pick it up. This is the third book in the series, but I believe they can be read as standalones. Also, look at the cute kitty on the cover.
Weather Girl – Rachel Lynn Solomon (January 11th)
Rachel Lynn Solomon is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I loved Today Tonight Tomorrow and The Ex Talk. So when Weather Girl was announced I knew I needed this book in my life. I mentioned this book in my Top Ten Tuesday post yesterday. I have an e-arc and will be reviewing this soon on the blog.
Love & Other Disasters – Anita Kelly (January 18th)
A reality cooking show and a romance are definitely two things I love together. Love & Other Disasters seems like a book that will make me laugh out loud, but also hit me in all the feels.
A Fatal Crossing – Tom Hindle (January 20th)
A murder on a ship set in 1924. You can absolutely sign me up. It also has a Scotland Yard inspector and the theft off a priceless painting. I’m already intrigued and hope it’s as good as it sounds.
The Red Palace – June Hur (January 24th)
A historical murder mystery set in Korea, 1758. Sounds amazing! Hyeon sounds like a great protagonist and I already wish all the best for her. Hopefully that includes the other main character Eojin haha.
The Roughest Draft – Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka (January 25th)
I’ve read a book by this author duo before and loved it and I’ve been really curious about The Roughest Draft. An author duo that wrote bestsellers end their partnership on bad terms, but must come together for one more book. This is another book I have an e-arc of and I’m very excited!
So these are the books we’re looking forward to that release in Janauary! What books are you looking forward to? Did we miss any interesting releases? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
I’m looking forward to Serendipity by Marissa Meyer 😁
It Will End Like This is on my wish list too!
