TTT #216 | Books I Hope Santa Brings

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books I Hope Santa Brings. Of course I always have some books on my wishlist so here are 10 books I hope Santa brings me. I do know I will be getting a couple of these but which ones those are is a secret until Christmas Eve!

1.Fangs – Sarah Andersen

This cover grabbed my attention at the bookstore! Next I saw it was written by Sarah Andersen and I really enjoy Sarah’s scribbles. So of course this had to go on my wishlist right away. A love story between a vampire and a werewolf. Sign me up!

2. The Pariah – Anthony Ryan

This looked like a big epic adult fantasy. And I’m pretty sure that’s what it is. It grabbed my attention, and I just think I will enjoy it haha. I haven’t read anything by Anthony Ryan before but I’m excited to try his work.

3. AI 2041 – Kai-Fu Lee & Chen Qiufan

While I’m not really into short stories, this book sounds too interesting to pass it up. I love sci-fi and AI’s are fascinating. Especially how they are portrayed in fiction. The individual short stories all sound great and now I’m very excited to pick this one up.

4. Before the Coffee Gets Cold – Toshikazu Kawaguchi

As you probably now by now, I love stories about time travel. And the concept in this book sounds incredible. You get to chance to go back to the past but you have to be back before the coffee gets cold. I can’t wait to experience this story, hopefully it lives up to my expectations.

5. The Woods Are Always Watching – Stephanie Perkins

I didn’t love Stephanie Perkins previous YA horror story but I do want to give her another chance. Some elements were really well done, but I thought there was too much of a focus on the romance part. Hopefully that’s not the case with this one!

6. If I Can’t Have You – Charlotte Levin

I definitely looked at this one because of the title haha. It gives off this suspenseful feeling and I love that. I hope this is a really twisted thriller! And I like that the ‘creep’ is a woman. I can definitely see myself enjoying this one.

7. Atlas of Imagined Places – Matt Brown

I saw this book in the bookstore and I just knew I wanted it. Normally I’m not one for coffee table books but I’ll make an exception for this one. It has maps of all continents and it zooms in on places from famous stories. I loved the look of it and definitely want to add it to my collection.

8. 10 Truths and a Dare – Ashley Elston

I adored Ashley’s previous books and I just can’t wait to read this one. It’s a companion novel to 10 Blind Dates and I loved the family dynamics in that story. So I’m pretty sure I will love this book just as much.

9. Realm Breaker – Victoria Aveyard

I adore Victoria Aveyard as a person and I loved Red Queen. While the second book in the series isn’t my favorite (and I still haven’t read book 3&4), I am very much interested in this new series. I’ve seen Victoria talk about it on TikTok and I just want to read it!

10. A Master of Djinn – P. Djeli Clark

The novella’s set before A Master of Djinn are both incredible. And I have been wanting to read this book ever since. I’m sure it’ll be amazing. The world this is set in is very interesting and I enjoyed the characters. I can’t wait to see what the author did with them!
