Bookish Item | 2019 Favorite Reads – Romance Reads Edition

Yesterday Isabelle started off our 2019 favorites with her favorite graphic novels.Today I am going to talk about some of my favorites. Romance is a genre I read a lot of in 2019, so this was actually pretty hard. So today I want to show you my favorite 19 romances! Let’s take a look!

Get a Life, Chloe Brown – Talia Hibbert This was actually one of my last romance books of the year and I loved it. It was really nice to see an author create a character with a chronic illness. Romance books are starting to have characters who aren’t so “perfect” and I really like this trend!

The Bromance Book Club – Lyssa Kay Adams I was waiting for this book for a few months. The title made me very curious. On top of that this book had a lot of hype, but it earned it all. I love how muchromance books wereincorporated. The sequel is releasing in March and I can’t wait!

Someday, Someday – Emma Scott After reading A Five-Minute Life, I knew this book would be emotional, because Emma Scott is good at that. Someday, Someday broke my heart, but was beautifully written. I couldn’t put this book down. I think it was hard to read this book, because a lot of the events still actually happen.

Sweet Revenge – Jennifer Hanks The DiMarco series is one that I loved by this author, so I was really excited she was about to release her next book. This MC romance was such an emotional rollercoaster that left me wanting more. I loved the characters and really just want them to be happy. I’mreally excited for the next book.

Gypsy King – Devney Perry 2019 was the year of MC romances, because this is another one that I loved. I’m actually surprised how much I’m enjoying this genre. The next book in this series releases later this month and I’mreally excited.

Guarded Dreams & Forged by Sacrifice – LJ Evans I have to say that LJ Evans has really climbed the list of my favorite authors this year. Both of these books were amazing. Even though they’re both pretty long, it just wan’t enough to keep me satisfied, haha. My favorite thing about her books is that each chapter has a song title. On top of that, she’s an amazing person!

Down too Deep – J. Daniels Dirty Deeds is a series that I haven’t read all of, but Bad For You and was sold. Down too Deep is the newest book and so good!! Nathan and Jenna are such amazing characters that both deserve all the happiness in the world. Another book I just couldn’t put down.

Rowan Revived – Taylore Danae Colbert This author keeps amazing me. Every book that she’s given us has been different and I’ve loved them all. Rowan Revived follows characters that both deserve a second chance and a lot of happiness. All I know is that I wouldn’t mind visting the inn the story takes place at.

Truth – SJ Sylvis Truth is a rock star romance and the first one by this author. I can keep this short and say this book is amazing!! It hit me in all the feels. Brooklyn and Reid are characters that I’ll definitely remember. I wouldn’t mind more of these two.

Forget the Stars – Kelsey Kingsley I’ve said it I think with every new release, but Kelsey Kingsley has an amazing way with words. What I also love about her is that she gives us the real and raw characters. I love that they’re not perfect, but that makes me love them so much more.

Red, White & Royal Blue – Casey McQuiston Earlier this year, I remember seeing this book everywhere. A lot of people were getting review copies on Netgalley and were really happy. I was afraid the book wouldn’t live up to the hype, but it definitely did and then some. Red, White and Royal Blue made me laugh and cry, but also left a big smile on my face. I can’t wait for another book by this author.

Until I Found You & Now That I Found You – Brooke O’Brien  A friend of mine loved this author, so I definitely got curious and signed up to review these two books. I’m so glad that I did! These books are filled with amazing characters and definitely have you on the edge of your seat.

The Life We Wanted – Kelsey Kingsley I know this author has already been on my list, but this was another amazing book. It’s different than Forget the Stars. I loved this tough rock star discover a different side of life and some love!

Times Like These, Watch Me Unravel, Such Great Heights & Under the Bridge – Julia Wolf Yet again another author that tugs at my heart strings with her characters. Blue is the Color follows the four members on this rock band. Each of them have their own issues to deal with and I loved them all. I still don’t know which one is my favorite.

The Last Letter – Rebecca Yarros This book definitely got a lot of mixed reviews. I love Rebecca Yarros and I know her books will make me cry. The Last Letter was definitely a blow to my emotions, I don’t think a book has every made me cry as much as this one. A lot of people were upset about the ending, but not all books can end the way we want them to.

This list isn’t in a particular order, because I loved them all! Some of these authors are really special and have amazing way with words. I can’t wait to see what 2020 brings us from these authors! What were some of your favorite romance reads in 2019? I love discovering new romance authors.
