Down the TBR Hole #32

Seeing how I keep adding new books to my Goodreads TBR, I decided to did this just a little more often than I have before. It’s only been two weeks since I did my last post, but with the number of books still on that list, it’s never too soon to do this again. I’m trying to make this a regular post!

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started! Continue reading “Down the TBR Hole #32”

Bookish Item| Completed Series I’ve Started and Need to Finish

I’m the type of reader that reads a lot at once and tends to get distracted, haha. This comes to series as well, I’ll start and mean to go back to the next books and before I know it the year is over and I still haven’t touched the next book. I really want to change this, so today I want to talk about completed series I’ve started and really need to finish. Hopefully this post helps me along!

Review| The First Score – Amie Knight

I love when a book makes me love all of the characters and that leave a smile on my face. The First Score, the newest book by Amie Knight, was one of these books.Today I want to tell you about this book and what I thought! A big thanks to the author for providing me with an ARC to read and review.

Do be aware that The First Score has moments where self harm and domestic/child abuse is discussed. This could be difficult for some readers.

Bookish Item | Black Authors On My TBR

This past week or so racism has been the main focus on all media, social media, on the news etc. And while I like to think I’m not racist, I realized I could do more to be an actual anti-racist. One of the things I realized was that I don’t have that much Black authors on my shelves. Today I want to share the Black authors I have on my TBR. I immediately made a wishlist, because you bet the next book I buy will be by a Black author!
While I tried to only include Black authors, I might’ve accidentally included POC authors as well. I decided to risk that so I wouldn’t miss anyone!

Buddy Review | Ghost Squad – Claribel A. Ortega

As you know, last month was middle grade May! Both of us were able to read quite a few middle grade books, including Ghost Squad. This book was also a group read in the TBR & Beyond group and if you go look, there’s a live chat to watch with Claribel A. Ortega. Today we want to talk about this book!

Can’t Wait Wednesday | Cinderella is Dead – Kalynn Bayron

We wanted to do another bookish meme on Wednesday and after doing Can’t Wait Wednesday a few times we decided that would be a fun one to bring around more often! About twice a month you’ll see this meme on our blog.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

TTT #135| Books that Give Off Summer Vibes

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books that Give Off Summer Vibes. When I think reading in the summer, my brain jumps to contemporary books. So I’ll talk about ten contemporary books I hope to read this summer!
