Tag | Halloweentown Book Tag

Halloween is only a couple of days away, so I thought I should do some type of Halloween book tag. When I was looking for one, nothing really caught my eye. That was until I saw the Halloweentown Book Tag. I just recently watched it again on Disney+ and loved revisiting it! So let’s take a look at this bookish tag!

TTT #156 | Books I Want to Read for Halloween

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is a Halloween freebie and I decided to go for Books I Want to Read for Halloween. I wrote this post a little bit in advance and I really hope I manage to read at least one or two of these before Halloween! Let’s take a look at the books I picked. Review| The Mall – Megan McCafferty

I think I’ve talked about The Mall before it released and I’ve finally gotten around to reading it. The audiobook was on Scribd and when I saw it there I was really excited. I wasn’t a teenager in the 90s, but I remember going to the mall and loving it. So did this book live up to my expectations? Keep on reading to find out!

Down the TBR Hole #40

I’ve said it before, but I really want to do a Down the TBR Hole post every two weeks if possible, so it’s only been  a couple weeks since my last post. I’m almost afraid to see how much I’ve added to my want to read shelf, haha.

Down the TBR Hole was originally created over at Lost in a Story. It looked like a fun and productive way to finally make a dent in that Goodreads TBR. I went through my want-to-read shelf a little while ago but I think I was still to kind on a lot of books. Let’s see what I’ll make of it this time around. I decided to go with 10 books at a time so lets get started!

Review | I’ll Be Gone In The Dark – Michelle McNamara

Last month I read the non-fiction book I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara. Michelle wrote this book before the Golden State Killer was identified and unfortunately she died before the was able to finish her book. It did get published and we did a group read in the TBR and Beyond group. Today I want to tell you my thoughts about it! Continue reading “Review | I’ll Be Gone In The Dark – Michelle McNamara”

Bookish Item| November TBR

My reading month in October turned out completely different than planned. A lot of my TBR was thrown out the window. I’ve noticed the pressure of reading for deadlines was starting to get to me and I need to let that go a bit. So my November TBR still has a few ARCs, but I’ll be reading a bit more freely as well. I’m letting myself be more of a mood reader, so let’s see what my November plan will be.

Bookish Item | #MGtakesonthursday : The Trials of Morrigan Crow – Jessica Townsend

Normally we do tags on Thursdays, but lately both of us have been having a harder time finding tags we want to do or think are fun. That’s when I stumbled upon this new bookish meme: #MGTakesOnThursday created by BookCraic. Middle grade books have become a bigger part of our TBR, so this looked like a lot of fun. Let’s take a look at what this is all about! Continue reading “Bookish Item | #MGtakesonthursday : The Trials of Morrigan Crow – Jessica Townsend”
