I actually finished Book Lovers at the beginning of July and I’m just now sitting down to write a review about this book. That’s the only hard thing about loving a book so much is that’s it hard to sit down and talk about it without ranting, haha.

Lately I’ve been reading a lot of books outside of my comfort zone and when I saw the sign ups for Villainous I have to say I was curious. Villainous is definitely a lot darker than anything I’ve read, so please be aware of the triggers. The author lists them at the beginning of the book and on her website. As I mentioned in the July Wrap-Up, saw a TikTok video and I just had to pick up The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The TikTok was about the song The Hanging Tree and someone commented that it was featured in this book. Since I adore that scene in the original trilogy, both in the book and in the movie, I couldn’t resist! Especially in the movie, it is just so emotional and it was probably my favorite scene from the movie. So let’s see if this latest book lived up to all the expectations!
