Candyce and I have been pretty lucky with the eARC’s we’ve been getting since we started this blog. We won’t get all of the eARC’s, but we’ve gotten a lot of great ones over the years! One of my yearly reading goals remains to read more of the eARC’s I still haven’t read. It’s one of the biggest challenges every single time. Today I thought it would be fun to see which upcoming 2025 releases I still had eARC’s for. I don’t think there are a lot, so maybe I can finish them before the end of the year? Let’s take a look! With summer slowly coming to an end, we’ll be heading into cozy season. My favorite time of the year. Even though I’ll read any genre during every season, I do feel we’re heading into the perfect fantasy (romance) book season. What’s better than a rainy day, cup of tea, and a fantasy (romance) book?

Goodreads published a list of readers’ 88 favorite romantasy books of the past three years. Out of these 88, I’ve already read 25 of these books. I want to read more of these, so let’s talk about the five I’m hoping to read soon.

Bookish Item| TBR Cards Choose My Next 5 eARC Reads Part 2

Published on by The Book DutchessesLeave a comment

As a blogger and bookstagrammer, I’m very grateful for the eARCs I’m approved for. It’s such a great opportunity to read books early and help promote authors. I will say that Netgalley motivates a bit more than Edelweiss by having a feedback ratio. So today, I want to give my Netgalley eARCs some more attention, so I’m letting my TBR cards choose my next 5 eARC reads. Let’s take a look!

Trope Thursday | My Least Favorite Tropes

Published on by The Book Dutchesses1 Comment

I have done a couple of ‘Trope Thursday’ posts and all of them have been about tropes I love. Either in general, or lists of books that fit those tropes. Today I thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the tropes I dislike. There are a couple I really hate, but I do think I could also fill multiple lists with tropes I simply do not like. Today I wanted to talk about some of the ones I like the least, so let’s jump in! Continue reading “Trope Thursday | My Least Favorite Tropes” →
