September is right around the corner and that means I’ve started thinking about my September TBR. I only work one week next month and have the rest of the time off. Which means I’ll be reading more than usual, haha. I only plan on talking about a few possible reads in this post. I want to mood read and enjoy some of the 20 (!) eARCs I have that release in September. Let’s take a look!
Group Reads

Foxglove – Adalyn Grace
In August, my series slayers group is reading Belladonna. So in September, we’re reading Foxglove. I do feel like this is the perfect time of year for a book like this. This is a sequel, so I won’t be talking much about the story.

Blood of Hercules – Jasmine Mas
Blood of Hercules is a book I saw everywhere last year when it released. I decided to have this be September’s swoonalong book, because it’s one that really has me intrigued. I only know we get Greek mythology, trials, and that it’s a why choose romance. I don’t need anymore information than that honestly, haha.
eARCs
So I have 20 eARCs that are releasing in September (oops!). I want to read as many as possible, but I’m not sure how far I’ll get. Here are a few I definitely want to sit down and read.

People Watching – Hannah Bonam-Young
Hannah has quickly become one of my favorite authors and after loving Out of the Woods earlier this year, I was so excited to hear that we’re getting a second book by her in the same year. People Watching sounds like it’s going to be another emotional read, but so worth it. I’m going into this one not knowing a lot of details. Just the way I like it.

Pitcher Perfect – Tessa Bailey
Tessa Bailey’s books tend to be hit or miss for me, but I’ve been loving the Big Shots series. Pitcher Perfect has fake dating! Need I say more?

The Killer Question – Janice Hallett
Janice Hallett writes mysteries in such interesting ways, I had to request The Killer Question. This mystery takes place at a pub’s weekly trivia night. We get the story told through quiz categories, phone messages, and email correspondence. I love when books are told this way.
Series

Training the Heart – Paisley Hope
After loving the first book in the Silver Pines Ranch series this month, I have to add Training the Heart to my September TBR. Wade was a bit of a grump in the first book, so I’m excited to read his romance and learn more about this character.

Power Play – Chelsea Curto
As I’m typing this, I’m halfway through Face Off (the first book in the D.C. Stars) and I’m loving it! So of course, I need to start Power Play. I’ll be surprised if I don’t binge all of the books.

Bridesmaid Undercover – Meghan Quinn
I’ve read the first and third book in this trilogy, so I should take the time and finally read the second book. I already know that Everly and Hardy’s book is going to be a lot of fun.
Physical TBR/Backlist
Last but not least, let’s pick three random books to read in September.

Star Bringer – Tracy Wolff & Nina Croft
The Crave series by Tracy Wolff is one that I couldn’t stop reading and when I heard about Star Bringer I became really curious. I don’t read much science fiction, but a story about an unlikely crew of misfits who need to save the day is always fun to read.

Small Favors – Erin A. Craig
Small Favors has been on my shelves for four years, so it’s really time to sit down and read it. I’m normally not much of a horror reader, but this story does sound like one I’ll love. Hopefully we’ll have a few rainy days this month, because it seems like the perfect weather to read this one.

Onyx Storm – Rebecca Yarros
I loved the first two books in this series so far and I think the hype right around release kind of put me off this book. My vacation in September seems like the perfect moment to sit down and catch up. I will need a recap of Iron Flame before I start though.
So here are some books on my radar to read this September! Have you read any of these? If so, what did you think? Or what are you hoping to read next month? Let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
