We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is Books On My Winter 2023-2024 To-Read List. I’m never good at sticking to TBRs, but that doesn’t stop me from making them, haha. Here are ten books I’m hoping to read really soon!
The Crown of Gilded Bones – Jennifer L. Armentrout
After loving the first two books in this series, I haven’t picked up the third one yet. There are quite a few books and even a spinoff for me to catch up on and it’s time! I’m still debating on whether or not I want to reread From Blood and Ash & A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire first. All of these are over 600+ pages, so it’s good for my big books goal.
Cursed Fates – Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
I binged the first four Zodiac Academy books and was hooked! Cursed Fates is the fifth book and I’m actually over halfway through this book. I’m not sure if I was just a bit burnt out or just got distracted, but I do want to continue. This is a series I’m loving, but I know these books are going to hurt, haha.
Iron Flame – Rebecca Yarros
So even though I got my book in on release day, I haven’t read Iron Flame yet. Part of me is scared, but I also decided maybe reading once the hype died down a bit would be better for me. I am really curious how this story continues.
Electric Idol – Katee Robert
Neon Gods was a book that surprised me in a very pleasant way, so I had to get the sequel. Electric Idol is a Psyche and Eros retelling and I can’t wait to see what the author does with this one.
Girl, Goddess, Queen – Bea Fitzgerald
Another Greek mythology retelling, but this one is more of a re-imagining. I love when authors take a story and give it their own twist. Girl, Goddess, Queen was a book that already sounded amazing, but I got to meet the author in October and hearing her talk about the story and why she wrote it makes me even more excited.
See You Yesterday – Rachel Lynn Solomon
Rachel Lynn Solomon has written great YA and adult contemporary books and I’m actually surprised I haven’t read See You Yesterday yet. I love Groundhog Day stories and this one is that. Our main character has the worst first day of college ever and keeps reliving it. Except Miles (someone from her Physics class) also seems to be stuck in this loop. I can’t wait to see what happens.
Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare
The Shadowhunter world is one I’ve really enjoyed and The Infernal Devices is my favorite series so far. So when I learned that The Last Hours was a spinoff of this I knew I needed it. So why I haven’t started this trilogy, I have no idea. Cassandra Clare recently announced the titles in the next trilogy in this world, so it’s motivating me to finally read this trilogy.
Timber – Tate James
Timber is the fourth and final book in the Hades series and it’s been a ride. Tate James knows how to end books with cliffhangers and the first three were a roller coaster. There are already two series I can read after this in the same world, so it’s time I finish this series. I’m scared to see how everything is wrapped up though.
The Atlas Paradox – Olivie Blake
I ended up enjoying The Atlas Six more than I expected and really need to pick up The Atlas Paradox. The third book releases in January, so it would be nice if I could just continue once it releases. My boyfriend didn’t like this book at all, so I’m curious to see what my opinion will be.
Ruthless Vows – Rebecca Ross
So as most of you probably know, Divine Rivals was a book that was everywhere. I was a little nervous about reading it, but it topped all of my expectations! Needless to say, I’m anxiously awaiting the conclusion of this duology!

I’m yet to jump on the Fourth Wing bandwagon but I’ll probably cave soon.

I can’t wait to read Ruthless Vows!
I don’t generally read YA/NA, but See You Yesterday sounds like it’d be a fun read. Enjoy your books!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I really need to read Fourth Wing! I’ve been super curious, though the hype makes me a little cautious too.
Looks like a great list! Hope you enjoy ’em.

I also loved Infernal Devices! I found Chain of Gold good, but not quite as charming. Good luck with it! I have Divine Rivals on my list and I’m nervous!

I loved Neon Gods more than I expected, though I haven’t had a chance to read Electric Idol yet. By the time I get to it, I’ll probably have to go back and re-read Neon Gods. Enjoy!

Great-looking list. I always want to do lists, even make them sometimes. But I’m such a mood-reader. I never stick to them.
