As I’ve mentioned before, one of my important reading goals of 2023 is shrinking my physical TBR. Sometimes it’s hard to think of what books I still have or subjects I want to read about. So we needed a way to keep track of this. 5 On My TBR is a way of keeping track. This is a meme hosted by E from Local Bee Hunter’s Nook. Every week there’s a different prompt for five on my TBR.
This week’s topic is Short Read. I don’t have a lot of short reads left on my TBR as I usually pick them up a bit quicker than the long reads. Let’s take a look and see if I have 5 short reads left on my TBR!
1. The Future of Another Timeline – Annalee Newitz
With only 350 pages I would consider this a short read. Especially compared to some other books on my shelves…. I also love reading about time travel so I think I will go through this one pretty quickly once I finally pick it up!
2. The Cousins – Karen McManus
So far I’ve read every Karen McManus book pretty quickly and since this one has only 337 pages I’m sure it won’t be an exception. I did start this one already and liked what I’d read so far. So I should probably pick it back up soon!
3. The Lying Woods – Ashley Elston
I loved the Ashley Elston books I’ve read so far! This one has a little over 300 pages just like her other books. Those I’ve gone through pretty quickly so I’m sure this will be a short read as well. I have high hopes for this one!
4. Space Opera – Catherynne M. Valente
This one has less than 300 pages! So it’s definitely a short read. And I think I will enjoy it a lot so that also helps to go through it pretty quickly. I have been wanting to read this one for so long now. Hopefully soon!
5. Haikyu 13 -16 – Haruichi Furudate
And there are they again haha. I just couldn’t not mention Haikyu! These manga are super fast reads for sure. I love them a lot and have these left on my TBR as I know I’ll binge them all once I get going. Hopefully I can take my time for them during the Christmas break.
I did manage to find 5 pretty short reads! There are books on my shelves that are shorter but I have read most of them. And some might have a low page count but I do think they will take me longer to get through. What are some of your favorite short reads? Let me know in the comments!
