TTT #294 | Books on My Summer 2023 to-Read List Part 2

We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Books on My Summer 2023 to-Read List. Candyce didn’t really feel last week’s topic so she also did this one. That means today there will be a part 2! I’m a mood reader so while these are books I might like to read this summer, there is also a big chance I won’t read any of them haha. Anyways, let’s take a look!

1. Haikyu! vol. 9 – 12 – Haruichi Furudate

I’m having so much fun reading this manga series! At the moment I have 4 more volumes on my shelves and I definitely plan on reading them this summer. Hopefully I can get myself a couple more volumes.

2. The Atlas Six – Olivie Blake

This one has been on my TBR for a bit now, I’ve heard so much about it and I can’t wait to find out if it’s worth the hype. I think the summer will be the perfect time for me to curl up and dive into this world.

3. The Agathas – Kathleen Glasgow & Liz Lawson

Candyce really enjoyed this one and I’m super excited to dive in. I own the hardcover so that’s not a nighttime read for me haha. It can be a great backyard read though!

4. Jade City – Fonda Lee

I’ve been so curious about this one! The reviews are amazing and it’s nice to know I can binge the whole series. I have really high hopes for this one, I’ve been loving all the adult fantasy lately and I can’t wait to read more.

5. Godsgrave – Jay Kristoff

And there we have another one haha. I have started this one and it has been on multiple TBR’s already. It’s will be a great read for sure and I can immediately start the next book after, but I do have to actually pick it up.

6. Never A Hero – Vanessa Len

I already started my eARC of this one. The first book in the series was a wonderful surprise and I’m really enjoying what I’ve read so far. I have high hopes for the rest of the story and I hope I can talk to some readers about it!

7. Mermaids Never Drown – Zoraida Córdova

My newest eARC! I definitely plan on reading this one this summer. Vampires Never Get Old had some great stories so I have high hopes. In this second anthology there are a lot of stories by new-to-me authors so I’m curious to try their work.

8. The Fragile Threads of Power – V.E. Schwab

One of my most exciting eARC’s ever! I will for sure be reading this one this summer, I’ve started it already and I’m loving it. This world, these characters, this writer, I’ll be very surprised if this won’t a highly rated book for me.

9. Imogen, Obviously – Becky Albertalli

Another eARC I already started. I’ve read most of Becky’s books and I’m excited about this one. To be honest, I do really like the cover and the title haha. But the readers note was also great and I think it’ll be a fun but also good read.

10. The Prince & The Apocalypse – Kara McDowell

I loved the Kara McDowell books I’ve read so far and I’m very excited about this one. It’s releasing next month but I also have an eARC. I think it’ll be a great summer read and I have high hopes for sure.

  1. The Agathas is fun. I really want to read Never A Hero. No ARC (yet), so I need to wait until my copy comes in. I hope you like all of these.

  2. I’m so excited for The Fragile Threads of Power, I can’t wait till it comes out in September! I’ve been meaning to read Jade City for a while, I really need to get around to it one of these days. I hope you enjoy all of these.
