We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is books with your favorite trope/theme. I’ve recently done a couple of those with romance books, so I decided to do next week’s post instead. Here are ten books on my Spring 2022 TBR. Hopefully I actually read them this time, haha.
Chain of Gold & Chain of Iron – Cassandra Clare
The Shadowhunters world is one I love being in and have loved since reading The Infernal Devices a few years ago. The only two books I need to read are Chain of Gold & Chain of Iron. These are bigger books (which is one of my goals this year) and it says the third one is expected to release this year. I haven’t heard anything about it yet, but I definitely want to get caught up!
Finlay Donovan Is Killing It & Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead – Elle Cosimano
Finlay Donovan Is Killing It was all over bookstagram last year and still is now. I bought this book in October and planned on getting it on my TBR immediately, but just haven’t picked it up yet. I really want to read it. Even more so now that the second book, Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead, is out. An author accidentally mistaken as a contract killer could be very interesting.
The Crown of Gilded Bones & A Shadow in the Ember – Jennifer L. Armentrout
I loved From Blood and Ash and A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire. Then I got a bit behind. These books are huge, so I need to really make time for them. The Crown of Gilded Bones and A Shadow in the Ember need to be read before I’ll be able to pick up The War of Two Queens releasing this month. I can’t wait to be back in this world.
Five Dark Fates – Kendare Blake
Three Dark Crowns is a series I’ve loved since I read the first book. I’ve read all of them except the final book. Five Dark Fates released in 2019, so I really need to get on it. I’m debating whether or not I need to reread before starting this one.
We Can’t Keep Meeting Like This – Rachel Lynn Solomon
Rachel Lynn Solomon is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine, so I want to make sure to read her whole backlist. I got We Can’t Keep Meeting Like This for Christmas and I love this cover. On top of that the story sounds amazing, so it’s time to get this one in my TBR really soon.
Yes & I Love You and What If You & Me – Roni Loren
Yes & I Love You and What If You & Me were also two books everywhere on bookstagram last year. I started Yes & I Love You, but got distracted. I really enjoyed what I read so I want to make these a priority. Especially now that I have an e-arc for the third book releasing this summer.
