We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Authors I Haven’t Read, But Want To. I really like that topic and have done something similar in the past. Today I tried to keep it to 10 authors I already have on my shelf but haven’t read yet. Let’s get into it!

This is my number 1 to read author and I’m ashamed I still haven’t. Kara is a personal friend and I really need to pick up these books haha. Candyce has read them and really liked them so I have high hopes.

2. J.R.R. Tolkien

Can you believe I’ve never read a Tolkien book? I have seen the movies (the looooong versions haha) and I liked the story. Now I just want to see what goes down in the books. I don’t have these as a very high priority but I’d like to read them at some point.

3. Robin Hobb

This is such a classic as well and I need to start reading Robin Hobb. Once I started with this one, I’m sure I’ll want to pick up the rest as well and there are quite a lot. Maybe this can be my next author after reading all of Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.

4. Scott Lynch

I really want to read this book haha, but I also want to try Scott Lynch’ writing. Knowing he’s from Minnesota is just a fun added bonus for me haha, maybe I’ll run into him this summer. Would be great if I’d actually read a book by hem before then.

I already own 3 books and there are a lot more I want to pick up. To be honest, I forgot I owned Prince of Thorns and King of Thorns but this definitely reminded me I wanted to pick them up. I do think I’ll start with Red Sister though!

I read the first chapter of Alice for a try a chapter tag and really enjoyed it. More than I thought I would! These books are tagged as horror so I have to be in the mood to read them, maybe around Halloween.

7. Sebastien de Castell

This one has been on my TBR for quite a while now! And I would love to get my hands on the other books by Sebastien de Castell as well. All of his books sound really interesting and I’m excited to try his writing style.

8. Ryan Graudin

I have been wanting to read Ryan Graudin for such a long time now! All of the books have great concepts, and seem to be right up my alley. I’m so excited to read this one and I just don’t know why I haven’t yet.

9. Emily Suvada

This one flew under my radar for a while but I’ve heard really good things recently. I think at least this book (or this series) is something I’d enjoy. Hopefully Emily comes out with another book(series) again soon!

This books are gorgeous and sound so good. Candyce loved them and I’m pretty sure I will too. There will also be a new series (Sinbad x Ocean’s Eleven) so you know I already added that haha. Hopefully I will enjoy the reading sign!
