We have been having fun with Top Ten Tuesday, so we decided we will do one every week. This bookish meme was hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and has been going since June 2010! Since January 2018 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is bookish merchandise I’d love to own, but I’m not really feeling it this week. So I’m going to do last week’s topic: Authors I Haven’t Read But Want To!
Amy Harmon
Amy Harmon has written quite a few books and I have to say I’m curious. The one I’m most curious about thought is The Song Book of Benny Lament. Another author I love really loves her books, so I have to give this recommendation a try.
Jeff Zentner
Jeff Zentner seems to be an author that writes emotional books, but they all sound like books I’ll love. From what I understand I need to read the books in publication order (at least the first two) for some Easter eggs. I own 3 of the author’s books so far, so I think it’s time I give them a go!
Kathleen Glasgow
Kathleen Glasgow is another author I own multiple books by, but still haven’t given a try. Again, I have a feeling these are all going to be heartbreaking, but beautiful! The covers are simple, but definitely say enough.
Sebastien de Castell
Sebastien de Castell is an author I definitely need to try, because I own all 6 books in the Spellslinger series without reading a single one of them, haha. I couldn’t resist the editions with pretty sprayed edges. I was afraid if I waited to get them they wouldn’t be available anymore. The series does sound amazing and I’ve heard amazing things, so I think I’ll love this series.
Marisa Kanter
Contemporary books tend to be my favorite and look at these cute covers. Marisa Kanter writes stories that sound right up my alley. What I Like About You has a book blogger and an online friendship/crush that becomes very real. As If On Cue has two enemies that have to work together to save the arts department at their school. Both of these sound amazing!
Roni Loren
Roni Loren was actually an author I was planning on trying last year for a buddy read. I ended up not being able to read the book at that time, but I’ve collected the first two books in the Say Everything trilogy physically. And I recently got the e-arc for the third book. I love these covers and the stories sound amazing.
Elle Cosimano
If you’ve been in the bookish community whether it be on blogs, bookstagram, Twitter, TikTok, or even Facebook I’m sure you’ve seen Finlay Donovan Is Killing It at least once. An author talks about the plot to her next book and is mistaken as a contract killer. This seems to be a funny book with a rather exciting adventure. The sequel is already out, so I really need to make time for this one.
Lindsay Currie
Middle grade books are something I never have enough of in my life, but really need to make more time for. Lindsay Currie seems to write spooky ones and I need to give them a go. I got What Lives in the Woods for Christmas and I’m still debating if I should read it soon or wait until near Halloween.
Axie Oh
I bought XOXO, because it sounds amazing and also the cover under the dustjacket is amazing!! Axie Oh has also written a fantasy book with a stunning cover! There really need to be more hours in a day, so I can read everything I want to read, haha.
Chelsea Ichaso
I’ve been enjoying thrillers and mysteries more and I’ve had Little Creeping Things on my shelves since release date. And the cover still creeps me out. Chelsea’s next book Dead Girls Can’t Tell Secrets just released and I’m waiting for my copy to arrive. I want to read some mysteries/thrillers in June, so these will be added to my list.
