It’s Wednesday, so time for a new WWW Wednesday to talk about my reading progress and plans. I really love these posts and talking more about what I’m reading before the monthly wrap up. Even if my reading plans change I like thinking about what I’m going to read!
So it’s time for the first WWW Wednesday. This is a weekly meme hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you participate by simply answering three questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What did you recently finish reading?
Fake – Tate James
Just like the first two books in this series Fake was an emotional roller-coaster. I got so invested in this story and that ending made me need the last book in the series ASAP. Thankfully the whole series is already out, so I could dive in right away.
House of Sky and Breath – Sarah J Maas
It too me a little bit, but I finally finished House of Sky and Breath. This was a book that just kept coming at us readers until the end. I finished reading it almost two weeks ago and I still haven’t processed that ending.
The Viscount Who Loved Me – Julia Quinn
The second season of Bridgerton is now on Netflix and I wanted to read this before watching the new episodes. I really enjoyed this audiobook and I’m pretty surprised by how many changes have been made. I’m enjoying the show as well though.
What are you currently reading?
Court – Tracy Wolff
I’ve been working on Court for a bit, but I’ll be finishing Thursday or Friday. A lot happens and sometimes it’s really over the top and cheesy, but I can’t stop reading! I really need the book about the four months Grace and Hudson were trapped together.
Kate – Tate James
Kate is the final book of the Madison Kate series and it started out with a bang. I’m enjoying this one so far and I’m kind of sad that I’m almost done with these books. I can’t say too much seeing how it’s a fourth book in a series. I’ll definitely be picking up more by this author.
Anything But Fine – Tobias Madden
Anything But Fine is the audiobook I’m listening to during my commute to work this week. As I’m typing this I have a little over two hours left. Our main character was on his way to a career in dancing when an injury changes that. While this book is focused on that I feel like we’re heading a bit too much to only reading about a possible romance. We’ll see how it ends!
Man Down – James Goodhand
Man Down is a book I’m reading for a blog tour later this week. I’m about 30% in and I’m not really sure where this book is going, but I’m intrigued. I know something is about to happen, but I don’t know what.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Dread Wood – Jennifer Killick
Dread Wood is another blog tour I’m on and it’s a middle grade book. From what I’ve heard this one is pretty spooky! I love spooky middle grade books, so I’m very excited. Keep an eye out for my review.
Say You Swear – Meagan Brandy
Say You Swear is a book I had on my TBR last month, but didn’t end up reading. I will be starting this one on Friday to buddyread with a friend. This is a book I keep seeing everywhere and everyone seems to say it’s very emotional and breaks your heart. When I hear that I only get more excited about reading.
Extasia – Claire Legrand
Extasia is a group read in TBR and Beyond this month and it’s bigger than I expected (almost 500 pages). It seems to be a horror book and our main character joins a coven. I don’t read many horror books, but this one definitely caught my eye.
The Spanish Love Deception – Elena Armas
The Spanish Love Deception is a book you can’t seem to miss when on bookstagram or booktok. This is very hyped, but sounds like something I’ll love. Fake dating is my favorite trope, so I have high hopes!
So this is my reading update for this week. What have you been reading or plan on reading soon? Any books you think everyone needs to read? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear from you.
Dread Wood! Yas! Hope you enjoy! Plus, I see some other fun books that I would love to read, like Court, though sadly the PB has stopped so I guess I will have to get the HB, but Say You Swear looks also very good!
